Oldest grandson graduation is this spring. He wants to visit NYC. (need 2 rooms in June)
Even on travel advisor my head spins from all the choices.
Some family stayed at the Marriot near Times Square last year.
Expensive, and nothing out of the ordinary. They stayed because of points.
He wants to see typical tourist sites. Statue of Liberty, Top of the Rock, Central Park, Times Square etc.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Belvedere 48th and 8th.

I love The Kimberly in mid-town. Rooms are much larger that most NYC hotel rooms. It is also in a very good location.

I also love the Gansevoort, Meatpacking District.

We did a similar trip.
Saw all the sights. Especially the ones you listed. All the way from Central Park down to the Statue of Liberty.

VERY happy to have stayed at the Intercontinental, just a couple blocks off times square... NEW, CLEAN, HUGE FLOOR TO CEILING PICTURE WINDOWS (that you can open), SKYLINE VIEW IF YOU DESIRE.

I really can't imagine being happier anywhere else.

Gotta try the Shake Shack, which is actually the steet-corner of the building.
(Just ask them to leave your burger on the grill for an extra minute, as they serve them like prime organic steak, pink in the middle.)

Subway station also right there at the hotel.

Yes, ALL hotels in Manhattan will be expensive!!! :faint:
We went to the revolving restaurant/bar on top of the Marriott. Had a FAB drink! But preferred our more comfortable, just off the square, hotel for accommodations.
I would almost describe the Marriott as a part of the concrete-jungle.

Sign up for their program, and get a free weekend night with a two nights rental.

Love the Marriott Marquis.
But the Trump SOHO was awesome!!!!!

We just stayed last month at The Andaz in the Financial District.
Its a Hyatt hotel, it was very nice and clean. We got a good deal pay 2 nights and get the 3rd free, plus $50 a day breakfast credit in their restaurant. It was very nice.

We've stayed at the Doubletree Times Square and at the Warwick Hotel (corner of Avenue of the Americas and 54th Street (right across from the MOMA). We were happy with both hotels.

The Warwick is a historic hotel that was commissioned by William Randolph Hearst in the 1920s. It is beautiful and is a short walk to everything. We stayed at the Doubletree last February when we wanted a shorter walk to/from Times Square in the cold weather.

Good luck!
