We are going August 24-September 2. We are a family of five; myself, DH, 9 year old girl, 7 year old boy and 5 year old girl. We've been to Disney several times now but are on a quest to eat at all the restaurants. We are not picky at all and after trying a ton of Disney restaurants only ONE we did not like!

We plan on hitting Magic Kingdom three times during our trip. So need 3 counter service and 3 table service (we are on the dining plan)

So these are the Magic Kingdom (or nearby) restaurants we haven't tried:

Table service
Be Our Guest (priority)
Hoop De Doo Revue (really unsure on this one...if we want to pay OOP for it)
Plaza
Ohana breakfast (Polynesian)
The Wave (Contemporary)
Grand Floridian Café
Liberty Tree Tavern - this menu doesn't really excite me
Tonys Town Square - the reviews really don't excite me lol

Counter service
Be Our Guest counter service lunch
Pinnochio Village Haus
*we love Colombia Harbor Haus -- we may have to do this just because we are now able to pick and choose for our third since we tried everything else :)

If you haven't been to hoop de doo I recommend it, I also recommend paying a little extra for the floor tables! It's a great show and the floor seats really put you up close and in the show... nice change from all the character meals and the kids loved it! Food was great too. Have you checked out Mickey BBQ?

No we haven't done that yet either. We haven't done ANY 2 credit meals. This would be our first. My kids may like Mickey BBQ now though since they still love characters???

Ok well if I had to choose then go to Mickey BBQ.. My daughters 2 & 9 loved it so much they wouldn't sit they just wanted to dance, it was so special watching them dance with Mickey and friends! Truly unique experience, get there early it's worth it, get in line to meet them all before the show! I felt like we shut it down with all the dancing after too :) if your not used to the weather of course cam be daunting but one of our favs plus we just love walking around ft wilderness too it's cozy! Good luck

We've done the late night Hollywood Studios dance with the characters and that's included in the tickets, so I kind of feel we can do that again and its the same thing just about??? And not waste 2 dining credits???

Hmmm. Never did that so I can't say :( what about royal table? My husband actually enjoyed that one!

For me it would be Hoop Dee Do Review, Be Our Guest, and Grand Floridian Cafe. Stay far away from Tony's Town Square (in my opinion WORST Italian food on propery). Also, since you really enjoy Columbia Harbour House (although I am biased since it is one of my top three if not top C.S. restaurants in all of Disney World) go to it again on this trip.

The Wave is fantastic and quick. It would be a good breakfast choice!

Grand Floridian breakfast is absolutely on our list for this next trip.

Hoop Dee Do hasn't ever been on our radar. I honestly don't think I could sit through that.

I can tell you our experience at 3 of them.

Tony's: First time we loved it. Next 2 times it was yucky. I think for my chicken parm, they must have opened up a can of plain sauce and dumped it on. Bleck.

Liberty Tree: I was like you....I never would try it because I wasn't wowed by the menu. But we wanted something new last time so we booked a lunch there so we could pick off the menu. My husband had the pot roast. I ordered the mahi mahi. The waitress did not recommend it, but cautioned me that if I didn't like it, I could trade. Well, I should have listened. She quickly swept it away and brought me a turkey dinner. It was divine. And for dessert I think we both had the chocolate cake. Very tasty. Looking back, one of us should have gotten the chocolate cake, and the other the toffee cake...then we could have tasted both! We will definently repeat this one.

Plaza: Again, we wanted to try something new. We really enjoyed Plaza and will be repeating it. I got the grilled chicken sandwich. I think my husband had a mushroom swiss burger. Our son ordered a PB sandwich and it came cut in the shape of a mickey. I ordered a black & white shake and it was tasty!!

I would make Hoop Dee Do a priority. Food is good and the entertainment is fun for all ages :)

Personally, I love the Plaza. The menu is simple (burgers, sandwiches, ice cream), but what they serve is very tasty. When we went, we were seated at a window and had a beautiful view of the castle at night.

I also like Tony's. We only went there once & did not order a pasta dish (I think I ordered a pork tenderloin), but I thought the restaurant was well themed, service was great, and the meals we ordered were very good.

looking at your list- if you can get BOG for dinner great, if not then try to get in for lunch.

I love GFC- think its a hidden gym, and we also really liked O'hanna for breakfast.

The plaza is nice, but not really a great value as a TS on thr DP- much better fit to pay out of pocket if you aren't on the plan, or are covering for a Signature meal elsewhere.

Just roll with it on CS. CHH is really popular- I wouldn't NOT eat there just cause you've not tried the other CS- unless it's a quest!

For what it's worth- we've enjoyed the wave for both dinner and breakfast and we are NOT health food types.

We tried LTT this past Nov for dinner and really enjoyed it. We also like for dinner GFC.
I guess I'm one of the odd ones, lol but I do t have a problem with Tony's. We have eaten there 3x, last time was last May. Been to Ohana's on e but that was for dinner & it was pretty good, DH liked it more then I did.

I just read the name you post by...I have 2 daughters on the spectrum and we ( well they) have some dietary restrictions because of it...feel free to let me know (in private if you prefer) if there are any special considerations to take into account from food restrictions to environment etc. I'll be happy to share the experiences of our trips over the last 5 years.

My vote is for Liberty Tree Tavern! Lunch there is one of our favorite WDW meals.

We'll be there very soon! :cool1:

We loved the Plaza, the food was delicious and the atmosphere is great. I had the tuna on a croissant which was huge and delicious. DH had a steak sandwich which he really enjoyed, and my sons loved their grilled cheese. Their fries are the best on property, IMO. They serve Mickeylodeon sundaes for the kids dessert, or you can get shakes to go. Yum!

Tony's is also nice - a great atmosphere... don't go in expecting fine dining and you'll be ok. It's fun for the kids, especially if you sit near a window and can people watch.

We love breakfast @ Ohana's. We always take a boat over, what a beautiful way to start the day. The restaurant is beautiful, it is an all you can eat but served at the table - you don't have to get up to wait in a line! The kids love the characters and always have a lot of fun. You will also get a family photo taken which is a great keepsake.

I also put in a vote for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern - have never done dinner there, but the lunch was wonderful!

I say that you should definitely work in Ohana! Not only does it have terrific food, but it is also at the Polynesian (A beautiful Resort) and it is great family fun because it's quite interactive. My recommendations would be:

Table-Service:
Ohana!
Be our Guest
The Wave (Merely for it's location)
Quick-Service:
Columbia Harbour House
Cosmic Rays
Be Our Guest QS
........................... I would Highly recommend going to the Polynesian for Captain Jacks Quick-service supper, take it out to the beach, lay on a hammock with the family and watch the Lighted Lake Parade. Also if you have the money, or want to sacrifice 2 dinner credits, California Grill is Phenomenal! Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Out of all the places, the only one I have really strong feelings for is HDDR. It is one of our must-dos every trip; lots of fun and comfort food.

We also love CP breakfast.
