Anyone use Sparkle Skirts or Team Sparkle?

I thought there was a way to just pick the skirt up at the Expo or through your resort. Definitely a nice feature. I didn't even look at the program to see if they were going to be there.

They aren't. :( They aren't listed in the program and I was chatting with someone on the marathon weekend thread who has worked their booth at past expos, and she said that it's too expensive for them to have a booth at the marathon weekend expo. I'm bummed, I was hoping they would be there with some special-edition skirts.

#RunDisney Running the WDW Weekend? If you are concerned about receiving a skirt in time, you can still order online, but in the Special Instructions box at checkout, type in the name and address of the WDW resort where you will be staying and the exact date you need your skirt, and we will HAND-DELIVER to the consierge/front desk at your hotel! You can also email us: Leah@SparkleSkirts.com if you would like to meet and try on skirts! We'll bring the big van! HapPy RunNinG!

That is where running skirts, and other similar non-sparkly brands seem to do a lot better. But, both Team Sparkle and Sparkle Skirts seem to target the Disney race market, so that is what is popular when you go to Disney.

What problems did people have with Running Skirts or Sport Skirts? I haven't tried either yet, but like some of their designs too.

I love runningskirts, I think the big thing is that they
#1 don't have the flashy fabrics- they are more about prints and solids
#2 their compression shorts don't stay put as well

The second isn't an issue for me because I don't wear their "athletic" skirts with the shorts. Instead I wear their running skirts with bloomers which I find much more comfortable anyway:).
Their skirts with capris are not good at all:(.

I have not tried Skirt Sports.
I do like Lululemon, their new shorts stay put but they do not have great pockets, only a small zipper pocket in the back and an upside down one on the leg (like for balls for tennis).

Without. But I go commando in most of my running clothes. Unless it's too cold and I need another layer.

Which one did you get? My new one showed up this week too. (Half crazy)

I just got the black one. I know, I am boring...............but I don't know what top I will be wearing race day and I didn't want to clash after spending 80 dollars on a skirt. Now that I think about it...........The only article of clothing I have ever bought that cost more than that was my wedding dress ...........and it was $99 dollars at David's Bridal.

You guys have got me sold on the SparkleTech ... I love, love, love the colors and all the pockets ... BUT I am also fiercely loyal to my CW-X compression capris. I haven't run more than 5 miles without them in years - middle of summer or dead of winter. Could I wear the SparkleTech over the CW-X capris? Maybe 3 layers is just way too much. I see they make the Sparkle Commandos, but the 2 colors are boring and I'd lose the side leg pockets. Anyone try their SparkleTech over capris or leggings?

They are so snug I wouldn't try them on top of something else for fear of stretching them out. As much as I love my sparkle techs, I would stick with what you know.

I've heard of ppl doing that. I haven't. If you are going to Tink, you could try it out there (they have changing rooms at the expos). Or call Leah up and see if she will bring on to your room to try out. She prob would.

I think that much clothing would be overkill and VERY hot. If it is over 50 degrees you will be very uncomfortable with the compression and tech Sparkle skirt. I love the Sparkle skirt tech and have four of them. Will be wearing three next weekend at WDW Marathon weekend races/training run.

I wear my Roadrunner Sports compression capris under my SparkleTech skirts on all my long runs, and that works fine for me. Since I'm used to the compression capris and the SparkleTech, I'm used to the layers. My body gets overheated fairly easily, but the combination hasn't bothered me yet after 3 half marathons and a full. I definitely would give the combination a try on a test run.

Quick question for those of you who wear Sparkle Skirts - the difference between the SparkleLight and the SparkleTech is the shorts on the latter?

Yes. SparkleTech has the attached shorts underneath. I think the Sparkle Light still has the pocket in the waistband just like the S Tech, but if the website doesn't say, just call them. They are really good about answering questions!

No, the sparkle light does not have the same type of pocket as the tech. It has a little one, but it doesn't have a zipper. Not very useful, except maybe for a key.

Thanks for clearing that up! This really surprises me. I don't have a S light, But the picture on the website kind of looks like it has the same pocket as the tech. I wanted to try the sparkle light, but I'd really miss that big zippered pocket!

It could be that Leah changed the design since I bought mine for the princess half last year. I bought it about a year ago. I would ask her.

my Sparkle light arrived yesterday and it's an open pocket only good for a gel or maybe a phone or a key card. I'm trying it out on my 7 miler today. Guess I'll stick my hankie in my waist band - because I have to have a hankie!
