A little bummed that the spring discount doesn't include the Poly CL (I was going to use it to justify upgrading), but I'm not complaining. Hopefully I can get a room request honored to be in Samoa so I can get in one of the refurbished rooms. I figure it's probably my best bet for being finished when we check in on May 13.

I think it opened later than it was supposed to I honestly don't remember the pool was open the whole time just the slide was closed. We arrive on 2/28 so I hope it's open by the 1st. The year before last we were ar BWV and that pool was closed with no notice.

I arrive later than you and am nervous.....hope it is open for you!!

I was able to apply the discounts announced today and saved $949.61 on our June Poly trip. Bringing the cost down that much puts a big smile on my face and cements my decision to stay here. Yeah!

Congrats on the savings! I used the last discount to get 35% off for our trip in a few weeks. I was thrilled. It does make you feel more justified in staying at Poly, doesn't it! :cool1:

I tried to look up info about the spring discount and is it only 20% and are people having any luck booking GV rooms with it?

I am not exactly sure what the discount did - but I was able to save $350 from my club booking at the end of April/beg May. I know that it is not that much and but every little bit helps. Might be worth it to reprice online or give them a call just to see!

With the updated schedule, we may have to request a different house than Samoa for our 2/28-3/8 stay. Tokelau? Patio or 3rd look balcony?.....

We are there at the same time and we requested balcony at Toleaku! Hoping pool is on time and opens for us!

Isn't it a great feeling saving 35% at the Poly!!

Yes it sure is! We got a 35% off pin for our September trip and since this is our first time staying here it makes it that much more magical! This has been our dream resort to stay at since our first trip in 1998! I am SO EXCITED!!:cool1:

Tokelau is our favorite non-CL longhouse. Great location, big rooms, all balconies or patios, etc. I've done 3rd floor balcony facing the quiet pool and it was lovely. We even had a bit of a castle view if we looked all the way to the right through the trees:wizard: This time I'm just requesting anything on the quiet pool side because I don't mind which floor. A patio would be nice too.

The website for reservations is crap right now! Somehow it made two package ressies for me and I can't get any one to pick up on the phone! Plus, the site won't make dining reservations. Hopefully I will get someone real soon to straighten all this out.

Greetings! I'm second guessing my 3rd floor balcony request for an upcoming trip in Feb. do you prefer balcony or patio? Why? We plan to return from the park mid-day fora rest (DD is 5 and gave up apps so the rest is for me!) I'm wondering if we'd use the patio space more than the balcony. I'm also thinking that the patio might be easier with pool and fireworks viewing.

As I've never been to Poly, I'm consulting the experts!

I just checked for our dates starting May 15th and CL was available for all three categories - garden, lagoon and Theme Park :confused3

I have never been to the Poly either and have always loved having a balcony(in fact that is what I asked for at first) But after reading on here I changed to a patio.

My DS will be 2.5 when we go and I know he will crash at night before we are ready. This way me and my DH can sit outside and enjoy the weather and view without him waking up. Also DH or I can go grab a drink and bring it back without going through the room.

Other things that people have said is that the kids played right outside while they sat on the chairs and watched. Easy in and out to the pool(depends where your room is) The only thing is that it will not lock from the outside.

Hope this helps you a little. Love to hear other people

Personally we prefer the balcony over the patio - just for privacy reasons. If it's convenience you're after, then I'd go with the patio. I figure you can't go wrong with either - afterall you are at Disney and the Poly :goodvibes

Hmmm, these are all excellent points. We've always stayed in a room with a balcony at Poly and elsewhere. Honestly, my biggest concern about the patio room is related to bugs and snakes. Is that silly? We'll be there in three weeks and now I'm really rethinking my request. With three boys, it would be kind of nice to sit outside and have some space to run around a little.
