Someday I hope to have the time and money to travel overseas.

ETA: DH was born in the USA but was an Army Brat, I believe they spent some time in Europe, specifically Germany, when he was a child. His mom says he spoke German as a toddler, but then lost it. Then he joined the USMC out of high school, and has been to Iraq, Kuwait, and Egypt (the "airport" version). He was supposed to go to Japan when the 1st Gulf War broke out, and his orders got changed. He always says he really would have preferred Japan.

I have never been outside of the United States. I have just never had a desire to.

There is not a thing wrong with that! People have different tastes and desires. I know I sometimes have felt "wrong" for not wanting to buy a house (I honestly have no desire, I'm happy renting, particularly as we're still nomadic and may yet live in a few different countries before we settle) but I get a lot of slack for it. Travelling is a passion for some and not for others, some people find happiness in their own backyards!
