Jan 3 Promo Party!!!

They could be selling out. I couldn't get standard view at POR for our trip- had to take garden view- still major savings for our 3 rooms/packages, but the cast member said it was prob b/c they were sold out of the number of discounted standard rooms allowed

When I called this morning standard and preferred rooms were never offered for POR according to the CM I talked to.
 
I finally got in! The wait was well worth it! I moved our vacation out two days and since we are flying in early, departing late I cut off 1 night. All in all, we have just saved $1802! That will pay for the airfare! So happy and looking forward to celebrating my son's graduation in May at DW!:goodvibes
 
I had a horrible CM this morning. Was on hold for about an hour off and on, and I still don't think she got it right. :(

How are you all getting competent, friendly CM's?

Not true. It depends on the dates. Even now as I look at POR for 6/5-6/19 in the special offers page all room categories come up as available (including preferred)
 


After an hour and 45 minutes finally was able to get the discount applied to our June 8-14 ressies and upgraded to Yacht club garden view club with tickets and saved 2,600 on two standard club rooms!! The CM had a lot of trouble getting the code to work and when she went to change our second room she was told there were no more rooms available with the discount - thankfully she was persistent and was able to change both rooms. super excited, we're taking my sister and spouse for our first family vacation since we were kids :banana:

Congrats! We have done that very stay for the past 2 years. YC CL is my very favorite place on WDW property :cloud9:
 


Booked room + tickets via phone call to a CM about half an hour ago. Wait time was less than 3 minutes (called in on 407-939-7675). CM was super helpful, priced each option for me individually (crashed her computer once but she was great). Ended up saving close to $700 over rack rate. I had run it online and the numbers agreed exactly, but I wanted to do it by phone because I had also previously locked in a room-only and wanted to be sure everything went correctly. I have a total mistrust of Disney's web site. Magic and computers just plain don't mix.
 
No discount for me. :( Apparently there are blackout dates for check-ins on 2/18 through 2/23. We check-in 2/22. Boo.:(
 
Waited about 90 minutes but finally got through to an extremely helpful CM. We chatted for a bit and saved me about $650 on my trip to the Poly in May.
 
Took a chance and called on my lunch..only had 30 minutes..I waited maybe 5 minutes and got a wonderful CM that wanted to make "magic" for my family and I.:goodvibes She did! We had the discount applied to our existing ressie to CSR~ June8-15, waterview room, and package~ save $571! :cool1:
 
Waited 35 minutes on hold...boy do they need to improve the quality of the hold music. Sounded like a bad tape all wobbly like. Anyway...switched from 3 nights king room @ POFQ w/3day hoppers to 3 nights king room @ CSR w/4day hoppers and saved $205. Not too bad...considering it's a short trip.

Comes out to about a 15% discount overall.
From $1414.40 to $1208.60

Only took about 10-15 minutes with the CM to price out a couple options.

omg longest day ever and I have no idea what I ended up with! I do know that we are switched to POR from AOA, 7nts with a package in a standard room, and 1 night at end with a room only....but I had to take a garden view room, and no idea if we will have to pack up and move rooms. I am waiting to see an email with the info in front of my face! I need to see those numbers?!?!?!?!
 
So excited. I was only going to switch out of the CSR (upgrade)if it didn't up my price too much..we ended up Staying at the CSR.. We just added the discount and it saved $555. I never qualify for discounts!

If you don't mind my asking, why do you have the the room only at the end? Was it because there wasn't availability in the standard category for all the nights? If that is the case, then yes, you will probably have to switch rooms for the last night.
 
on hold for about 30 minutes, then got a WONDERFUL CM. Already had 3 rooms at POP booked since fall. Got $200 off each room. Great Day!!:cool1:
 
I am sure this is a stupid question, but I don't really understand what happened when I tried to apply this discount to an existing reservation. I called and wasn't on hold very long...had already checked online to make sure our rooms and dates were available...but was told that there was no availability to apply the discount. However, the CM did tell me to call back weekly as there was a decent chance we could still get discounted due to others changing their plans. I've done this for the past two years (applied promo to existing trip) and never had a problem. Has anyone experienced this? Would I have been better off waiting and booking today instead of several months ago? I know it's no guarantee and of course we are still going...but a little savings would have been awesome!

When you checked on line, was there availability? If there was (and still is) I would call back. Or book the new one on-line and call to cancel the old one.
