What if we are scheduled to dine at Animator’s Palate on pirate night, will we miss the themeing? What rotation should we request so we are not there that night?

Animator's Palate on Pirate Night is very nice. They put pirate themed animation up on the screens with background music.

I could be wrong, but I think the OP is asking whether they will miss either the Crush show or the second show that is unique to the Fantasy. Since Pirate Night is on day 4, my guess is that the rotation for people who are at AP on Pirate Night is AP, x, x, AP, x, x, AP. That way they would still see the two AP shows. Can anyone confirm?

It depends on which ship, what length of cruise.

On a 4 night or longer, you will not miss anything as your pirate night restaurant will be a "repeat" restaurant. Pirate night will have the pirate activities/show, the other seating will have the "normal" show.

On a 3 night cruise, they can't cram everything into 2 1/2 days. You will not have the pirate menu in the dining room. You will have a show in Animator's, but you won't see all the available shows.

Of course, you can make the same arguement--on the classic ships, you won't see the new shows. On a 4 night cruise, you won't seen the Animation show in Animators that is seen on the Fantasy.

The OP is on the Dream. If they are in AP for Pirate Night which is day 3 on the Dream, they would also be in AP on the last night which is the Crush show.

For our most recent Dream cruise, our rotation was ERAA.

E = Enchanted Garden
R = Royal Palace
A = Animator's Palate

I clearly have the Fantasy on the brain due to our upcoming cruise! I see now from the OP's signature that they will be on the Dream. On our 4-night on the Dream last February, our rotation was also ERAA, so we were in at AP on Pirate Night (nothing special, IMO) and we were there again the next night for the Crush show.

I was in Animator's on pirate night on my 4 night Dream cruise last year. My rotation was ERAA. To be honest, I much preferred pirate night in there than the regular show. The Crush show is cute, but wasted if your table is not near a screen. So it was otherwise very loud.

You are correct that is what I was wondering I don't want to miss the normal theming with Crush etc.

It would be great to see both themes can I request a 2 night AP rotation?

You can request a specific rotation. You would call either DCL or your TA if you used one.

Since you sail on Sunday, they may have already started working on seating for your cruise. SO, it may be cutting it close.

We just did the Dream 5 night cruise and were in Animator's for Pirate night - our rotation was ERRAE (Holiday cruise - which may be different) - We got the Crush show - seated too far away for him to "See" us but still fun. Didn't notice anything different or out of the ordinary in terms of "show".

Did notice the fish that made shapes did a couple of pirate themed things - but nothing too unusual.

We were on the 7 night fantasy and was in there for pirate night. You dint miss anything. Crush was first. Pirate was 2
Nd and then the animation was our last night night. I can say that I personally didn't care a lot for the food in this restaurant. It was my least favorite. But it did put on a great show.

Except for the Signature menu which is only served one night in each MDR, the same menu is served in all the MDRs each night. So saying that the food in just one specific MDR isn't any good doesn't make any sense. OK, the Signature menu for that MDR might not be any good, but the other menu served in there is the same one served the same night in the other MDRs.

Related question: We are doing a 3 night cruise in November...if we are in Animators on Pirate Night will we see the Crush show? I understand we will not get the Pirate menu, but which animation show will we get?

I assume you will get the Nemo / Crush animators show like we did on the 3 Day Dream...?

You can also still wear your pirate attire to dinner. Our pirate night was enchanted garden and we still looked great as pirates.

Does the animator show change for pirate night on the Dream?. If that is the case, it kinda would stink for us who don't get that...?

The Dream only has the Crush show.

I would imagine that AP is the same on the Dream as the Fantasy on pirate night [other than the 3-night cruise], where there are pirate related pictures on the screens with POC theme music playing. They change often during the meal.

We ended up at AP on Pirate night and also another night. I really liked the pirate theme there on Pirate night, I was glad we were therepirate:
