Hi Everyone,
I am turning 44 this Feb 21st 2013 (a Thursday) and had a crazy idea to fly to Orlando (I live in NYC)
early in the morning, do both parks and fly out late at night. I think I could have a good 8 hours
in the parks. The main reason I'd like to go is to check out the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter
section in IOA (have never been). I think it would be a fun thing to do, and how often does one turn 44,
right? Anyway, are they any suggestions, tips, tricks, ideas for a stunt like this? Any input would be appreciated.

Sure, it can be done. You'll be able to do all the highlights of both parks. If you find that crowds are a problem, you can purchase an express pass in the parks.

Have you thought about flying in the night before, staying onsite for the FOTL perk (get to enter the parks early too), and then flying out the next night?

Thanks for the replys.
I won't be able to stay the night before, unfortunately.

My other questions are how long of ia ride is it to
Universal from MCO airport if I grab a cab? and approx how much?
Will it be hard to get a cab when I'm leaving at night if I leave around closing?

Do you think it will be crowded that week?

Cab ride is about 30 minutes and 40-50 dollars with tip one way. It will not be hard to get a cab leaving around closing. That week will likely be moderately crowded, but nothing too crazy.

I don't really have any tips, just wanted to say that really sounds like a fun birthday!! :cool1:

This is in the middle of President's week. I know the Disney parks are very busy that week - your birthday is predicted to be 8 out of 10 in terms of busyness on easywdw.com. Have never been to UO that week. Have fun - we love WWoHP. I think a celebratory butterbeer would be in order. :drinking1
