From Fantasyland to the Fantasy: We came, we saw, we kicked it's AFT! UPDATED 1/10!

You are all so awesome for sticking with me! :goodvibes

Judy is right, I absolutely will be back and finish. Everything has seemed so crazy. I have added a couple of side "jobs" on Creative Teams for Scrapbook Kit designers and getting all acclimated to those responsibilities has taken some of my time, craziness and the uncertainty of my job situation (still no set date for the transfer- could happen anytime with virtually no notice) and mostly now the Holidays and all of what that brings, Nutcracker (which is today hallelujah!), the tree (still outside), decorating (not sure I'll ever get to that), etc. etc. The bane of my existence right now is the calendar I make for my family every year at Christmas. I totally only have a few more days to finish, upload, and order it if I have any hope of it getting here in time. :crazy2:

And somehow I lost my subscription to this thread so it didn't show up in my User CP, and I didn't get any email notifications so I thought the thread was a good as dead. It's so heartwarming to see you all still hanging with me wanting more!

I will be back, I will have more...everything..pics, vids, so much!:goodvibes

Breathe easy Jen :) It's Christmas time, and I know completely how other priorities must now take over for a while :thumbsup2 Have Fun at the nutcracker! I LOVE seeing the pics of Savannah dancing. Are you taking any video of it? I'd love to see that on facebook :)

Geez - you seem like you might be busy??!!! :rotfl:

Saw the pics of the nutcracker!! It must have been thrilling to watch them!

There's a lot you need to do for your family and for yourself so we will wait patiently. But no excuses after the first of the year!!!:rotfl2:

Congrats on the new job. That is awesome...whenever it may be. ;)
Take your time, I am so far behind on Dis myself, so people who go slowly are my best friends. :rolleyes1

You're so not alone....I feel like I can barely keep up with my own TR these days. :rotfl2: I'm happy these days when I log on and I don't have too many updates to catch up on TRs. :lmao:

My DW and I have been lurkers for a while now and have been affectionately "stalking" your trip reports. I couldn't take the hiding in the shadows anymore so I had to join up and say GREAT JOB! :worship: And I sure hope we get the exciting conclusion after the Holidays are over!!!

Those of us who "know" you know what to expect, so glad you found us so we really aren't just hanging out in no mans land.

I think I finally found the end to your last TR when it was almost time for this trip so I had a long time of entertainment! And I was glad it was not ending!

Merry Christmas to your family and richest blessings for the new year.

ok, so christmas has come and gone....(need i say more!! ;) )

i'm just getting on board now.....

and by the way, yes, Ron, i'd like to cut to the chase and find out if you like the fantasy better than the allure
(though it doesn't matter, we're still going on the allure next year!! :goodvibes )

P.S. If ya know anything about the wacky world of wines, it wud be mucho mucho appreciated if ya can help me answer a rather Goofy ? I have listed on posting #25 from my below listed, "my adventures in SAN FRAN...":goodvibes
(what local Calif wines wud u suggest, etc)

knewton64 I do know a bit about wine and in reply to your questions I would stick to reislings. gewertzermenier and pino grigio if you prefer sweeter wines. Also I don't know if there are sweeter reds but bonterra winery in Cali makes a very nice red zinfandel that is easy to drink (not too strong). Some of my other fave cali reds are menage a tois (blended wine) and red velvet from the cupcake vinyards. Hope this helps

Well the Allure is a much nicer cruise ship... It' not close... But when it comes to the overall cruise experience I'd give the Fantasy the edge. Not really a nod towards DCL, but more towards the Dis and the camaraderie of the people we've met through our meet thread.

We are really looking forward to the Oasis next year!

I'm really intrigued by this. I go back and forth on whether to do a Disney cruise or Oasis/Allure cruise. We've never been on a cruise, so I am way over-thinking this. We have food allergies and restrictions (DD has food allergies and I'm vegan and gluten-free) so I lean toward Disney, but the price is so high. I haven't heard much about Oasis/Allure accommodating food needs. I worry that we would go on a RCCI cruise and I'd wish we were on a Disney ship.

Ive been on a 3 days RCCL and a 8 day Carnival, along with a 7day disney. and each cruise our waitstaff/mater de always asked if there were any allergies or restrictions they needed to know about before we even ordered our drinks. They dont mess around with that.

and now any day Jen.. LMAO jk I know like im one to talk.

I think everyone needs to really experience both ships themselves to make a decision on which they prefer. Like you, some people love the Oasis class ships and think they are far and above better than other ships; yet some folks would much prefer a more intimate ship (all Disney ships, regardless of size, would fall into that category just by virtue of their layout). It really is six of one, half of dozen of the other...or comparing apples to oranges - which setting is preferable to each particular cruiser. :goodvibes
