So, our April trip is the first time that we are doing Disney without the DDP. We have just found that staying CL suits our food needs and vacation strategy better. We only have 4 ADR's for our 11 day stay, which include Le Cellier (a family fave), Narcoossee's (for DH and I date night), CRT breakfast (for DD birthday) and BOG!!! (Excited for that one)

One thing we are excited about is trying a lot of snacks and CS meals that we normally wouldn't get because of the DDP (where we find ourselves too stuffed to move, let alone eat a snack).

So far, we really want to try Tangerine Cafe (for lamb and chicken shawarma plate), Peco's Bills (we usually do Cosmic Rays, but I'd like something new), Fairfax Fare at DHS (we always have a hard time finding good eats at DHS).

I also want to try corn dog nuggets, jalapeño cheese filled pretzel, a brat from Germany.....

Can you guys list your favorite CS meals or snacks, so that I don't forget anything on my list???? Thanks!!! :wizard:

MK: Pecos Bill is great.
EP: La Cantina de San Angel is our fav., liberty inn is basic burgers.
DHS: never did a CS here, but I am too open to suggestions.
AK: never did a CS here, but I am too open to suggestions.

Some of the snacks, can definitely be made into meals. :)

Yes they can!! DH and I often share the chicken fried rice from yak n yeti and its more than enough!!! :cool1:

What do you recommend from La Cantina? I love Mexican!

the nachos were great, and a lot! Definitely two people can split it. I also tried the beef tacos the last trip, they were soooo good with the lime wedges.

the fish and chips in United Kingdom, we really good too!

Ooh! Sounds good! I want to get fish and chips as well! Thanks!! :goodvibes

Keep the suggestions coming!!,

FYI there are no good QS places at HS. All of them are blah so don't get your hopes up. Snack wise, I personally like the Napolean from France and the cream cheese stuffed pretzel at Fife and Drum in Epcot. Also, when/if you are in AK and need a good QS meal nothing tops Flametree.

Fish and chips in Epcot were ok, kids could not find anything they wanted while walking through the countries
HS: we do pizza planet I think it's good and the kids love it, we have done it as a early lunch then sci fi for dinner
Ak I want to try flame tree, it smelled so good when we walked by but were still stuffed

DHS: Carrot Cake Cookie at the Writers Stop. Counter Service, Studio Catering Company for a quick Service.
MK: Nuetella Waffle with Fruit at Sleepy Hollow.
AK: Flame Tree Barbecue

I wish DHS would get their act together food wise. We finally found a TS that we like (Sci Fi)...but we had almost written it off completely.

I like pizza planet. It's pretty decent. :thumbsup2

At AK, we do like Flame Tree. I'm not sure we will get a chance to eat there though, as we usually only do a half day there and the chicken fried rice from Yak and Yeti takeout is a "must-do" for DH. :)

Not a huge fan of Nutella, but that reminds me that I want the chicken waffle Sammie from Sleepy Hollow! That looks de-lish! ::yes::

Min & Bill's Dockside at HS has a GREAT pretzel dog and an Italian sausage hoagie. Just be aware that the pretzel dog already has mustard in it and can't be ordered without it. Their chocolate milkshakes were like a Wendy's frosty when we got one a couple years ago.

MK: Casey's corndog nuggets, Sleepy Hollow waffle or funnel cake.

DHS: Carrot cake cookie at Writer's Stop

AK: Flame Tree BBQ!

And here's a fun Disney food bucket list. Since you and your family are going more often, you and your girls can make checking things off this list a game!
