WCC Huge disappointment

Don't understand what the big deal is with the changes .... Are people mad about taking away ala carte or quality of food ? The skillet is largely the same as what they are offering now isn't it? You get 3 or 4 choices how many more would someone want? I have ressies there next month and trying to figure out what the big deal is

DH and I got a walk up ressie for Breakfast earlier this month.
When going over our ADR "wishlist" for our next trip he asked me to book a breakfast here instead of Kona.
We liked the breakfast but should also point out that we cancelled a dinner ADR there once the menu changes were announced.

I have heard the quality of the food has gone downhill in a big way while the prices have gone up quite a bit.

For us, I did not like the options in the all you can eat skillet and prefer ala carte options. A buffet is different because there is typically a large variety of foods but what they offered on the skillet for the price of the skillet was a major turn off to us. I think it's worse for those of us who loved WCC before because if you never knew any better, well... you never knew any better.

If you always order the skillet then perhaps it is of no big deal. I usually ordered the skillet but my wife and daughter never have. So for us it is a big deal and thus the reason we will not go back. I should also say that as a big fan of this place and having gone several times, the last time we were there the food was not that good and for the first time I did not care for the food qualtiy of the skillet. Perhaps it was just a bad day. But again, with only a skillet it eliminates my family from going back.

What is the "gimmick" with this restaurant? Is there a show or something? We have reservations for our trip in late January because I had heard that WCC has great food and is a lot of fun, but now I'm thinking that I should switch to something else.
