November 2013 Pin Code Watch

Anyone want to help me out? Im thinking Nov 30- Dec 6 and only want to stay on site if free dining is offered. If not, I really want to stay on Bonnet Creek.
Assuming its free: Is the dining plan different if staying at Mod than a value? Should I go ahead and book with room only or package with tickets? If free dining or another discount isnt offered what would be the latest date to cancel without a penalty on package? Thanks for any help :goodvibes

Called Disney yesterday. Dunno how helpful this is but the guy I spoke to said they might come out in the summer and the only ones he has now are until September  I think I'll just stay here so I don't miss anything!

Pin codes usually come out sooner, but the general public discount is normally announced toward the end of summer.

kokomos, I think it is 45 days out that you can cancel with no penalty, but if you want to get something at Bonnet Creek you may not want to wait that long. The normal free dining is quick service for values and regular dining for moderates and deluxes.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone waiting for pin codes. Looks like my trip is being pushed to early 2014
:(

Booking for 11/5 - 11/11. Hoping for either room discount or dining. I'm not sure what this years deals were for that time period. Just trying to decide on room type and resort!

Count me in! I'm in the very early stages of planning a trip for my son's 3rd birthday. His birthday is the 24th but I want to avoid the Thanksgiving crowds as much as possible so I'm thinking 18-25th. The last few days will probably be really crowded but we'll squeeze in as much as possible before that. No idea where to stay yet though. :cool1:

Excellent! Glad to see a lot of new people joining in. Only 10 months until we will be celebrating our last night at Disney. :sad1: But I will not think about that right now, I will think about the wonderful 10 days we get to spend there. :cheer2::cool1:

I am planning November 16-23. We have AP's so a discount is best. I have my own feelings about "free dining" but thats another topic.

I am hoping for a 25-30% discount at POR. We just stayed at ASMu & very much disliked most everything about the resort. Our Easter (3/30-4/6) lodging is already booked off site. A 3 bedroom 2-1/2 bath house 3 miles from WDW for $650. We drive so there is no extra expense. In fact, this past trip we spent exactly $200 on fuel round trip from the Cincinnati, Ohio area. I just love the 45+ mpg in a fullsize sedan (VW Passat TDI). :thumbsup2

I will sit back & wait for August to roll around for the end of year discount's to be released.

We are going November 30-Dec 6 or 7 Have not booked yet. Lots of research to do since I have 6 people and need it to be as cost efficent as we can get it. 2 adults and 4 kids. Wish me luck. pixiedust:

We are planning on a 11/24-11/30 of 2013 visit to WDW....My family is very "Disney",we have been over 9 times...we love Wilderness Lodge.
The is another family going with us and they are very$$concious.

So what to book?

there will be a total of 7---4adults and 3 kids
Off property and buy tickets at the parks?

or try a value resort and book a package?

What to do?????:confused3

What does the other family want to do? I am very $$ conscious too and am still picking on-site next time. We did off site last time and we decided it wasn't for us.

Sadly, I think free dining is a thing of the past:(

Or stay/play/dine would be good too :)

I have no idea if they plan on continuing with free dining but I always hear it is over and then it seems to come back. It really is incredibly smart. If we don't have free dining we are going to do a split stay with an off site resort for our Uni days and on site for Disney days but if they offer free food it seems silly to go anywhere else. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for some pixie dust pixiedust:

We do hear that every year free dining is going to go away and then it shows up for fall. So, here's hoping that Disney coporate hear's our pleas and their numbers don't look promising. ;)

I agree, though, that off-site will definitely be more tempting if free dining isn't offered. The cost-savings outweighs the benefits. Especially since we are taking the AutoTrain and will have our own vehicle.

Having just returned from a first time stay at ASMu the double size beds are the smallest double size bed I have ever seen. They are more like an oversized twin. We like POR as you can tell from my signature. So we have decided from now on if I cannot find a discount at a moderate our lodging $$$ will go offsite.
