When do they start showing the new movies on the ships? The new Oz movie starts March 8 and our ship sails on March 9. Wondering if it will be showing on our cruise?

If it is a Disney film or distributed by a Disney company, it will open on the ship the same day it opens on land. Not a Disney product in some way....probably not. Do remember that there are lots of Disney companies under other names--Touchstone, Miramax, etc.

I'm going out on a limb here, and saying yes, it will be onboard.

The movie comes out in the theater on March 8. Our cruise leaves March 9. Any chance they will be showing the movie on our cruise?

It highly likely that you'll be able to see the movie on board. We were on the Dream when Brave came out and they had a hollywood premiere party and the movie was first shown at midnight the day it was released.

Yes they will have a midnight premEAR of any Disney movie that comes out while you are on board

Yes we were onboard when they released Pirates of the Caribbean and they had the showing the same day as the land release. It is pretty cool that they think of the passengers too.

We will be on the Magic when Oz is released on March 8th! Will they continue showing the movie later on the day of the premiere or is it a one time showing for a brand new movie? I'm not sure my kiddos can make it until midnight & if they did, they would probably fall asleep during the movie but I'd love to see it on the ship, especially on opening day!

They will have the PremiEar showing, and then they will probably show it a couple of times during the day. There's no way to know for sure until they post the times in the Personal Navigator for your cruise.

. . . Will they continue showing the movie later on the day of the premiere or is it a one time showing for a brand new movie?
There will be additional showings during the cruise.
