You can always post it in installments. Leave us waiting for more. :goodvibes

Hey! Down day for us today. Bbb for the girls, 1900 Park Fare for dinner. Then I took dd7 in o MK to meet the fairies. The interaction with all the characters tonight was awesome!

Hi Sarah! :wave2: I am still around. It is kinda crazy how talkative we all were and now.....nothing. Maybe once the holidays are over and kids are back in school, people will be back. Should we move over to the post-trip thread to chat now? :confused3. How was your Christmas?
I feel weird after this trip. Not really PDD, more like it doesnt seem like the trip really happened. We had fun, but it was definitely different for us. And I was in a cold medicine fog for most of it. :rotfl: I have been reading the resort threads ready to plan the next trip. It wont be until Feb 2015, but we are definitely staying deluxe. We spent a lot of time at the resort this time. We discovered that we liked that, but were wishing for more space and a balcony. I was going to make a ticker, but 2+ years seems a bit long. Although it would be exciting to see it go down to 1 year, 11 months. :rotfl2:

Yeah - I got so used to chatting with you guys ;) I don't know when we should officially move. I am working on a photo book and then hopefully starting a TR.

Do you know where you will stay in 2015? I know you talked about WL and AKL. (Right?) I enjoy staying DVC, we relax a lot and love sitting on the balcony of OKW. This trip we had a great water feature/fairway view and saw a few golf balls get a little close. We had a parking lot view at AKL but it was one night and a value. I can totally relate to being sick and in a fog that was me too ;)

How is the whole job thing going?

DH fell in love with the Contemporary when we were resort hopping, but if we stay there I want to be in the Tower with TPV and that is $$$$$. He didnt like AKL much for some reason. We both like WL and it is a contender. I like YC a lot, but we need a good CS for breakfast. Loved Pop's food court. I think the goal will be CR and we will see how the saving goes. We might do a split stay too.

I talked to my friend when we got back and she said they arent posting the job--it is mine. I will interview as a formality with the manager in mid January and start in early Feb. She was able to hire someone else from our old work too, so that was good news.

We spent our final day at DW today :( We board our flight unless than 7 hours. Will post my first timer thoughts once I settle back into reality and catch up on some much needed sleep! :)

Congrats that the job is a definite! That is great news :-)

We really like the Contemporary. Have always stayed in a wing room though because it's cheaper & close to the pool. But we don't usually pay for a view. At AKL, we did Savannah view because that felt needed. We were very tempted for TPV at the Poly but have never done it; would rather spring for CL with a garden view.

CR and AKL have good CS. We like both resorts much better than WL. If you were swayed over to YC, you might be able to get a CL standard view room cheaper than TPV tower at CR, and that would solve your CS issue. Whether CL is worth it to us usually relates to how much time we're planning to spend at the resort.

We love the energy of the CR. it's like the pulse of WDW goes through the building along with the monorail. Hopefully a good deluxe discount will be out when you're looking to book it.

I'm looking forward to getting back to chatting with everyone once we make it a few more days & are past the holidays. We are still in the midst of visiting. Have another holiday dinner tonight. I think I may never eat again once 2013 rolls around ;)

Thanks for your thoughts on the resorts!! I thought about CL at YC. It would work for me, but DH "needs" a hot breakfast.
I was pricing out rooms this morning for 2013 and it is 35% off for CR for the week I want to go. I am hoping that is there in a couple years. Rack rate will not be happening. :lmao:

Good morning, everyone! I am so far behind on this thread but I hope each of you enjoyed your holidays. I never really had a chance to even read the thread, let alone post, while we were at Disney. Then, as soon as we got home I had to scurry around preparing to host my family for Christmas dinner. We ended up with 10 inches of snow Christmas night thanks to a rare winter storm. Because such storms are rare in this area, they really wreak havoc when they hit. Power went out to over seventy percent of homes in this area. It's finally being restored, albeit slowly!

I am going to work on my trip report - maybe it will help alleviate my post-Disney, post-Christmas, trapped-by-winter-storm blues! Overall, it was a great trip but we had some bumps with travel and my youngest dd getting sick. Can't wait to read everyone else's trip reports and to see any updates from those who are there right now. Maybe I can live vicariously through those of you lucky enough to be planning your next trip already!

We are home :(

On the upside, since we're exhausted and it's 18 degrees outside, I told my husband that we're going to do a Disney movie marathon all weekend long :)

That's great about the job!

If you want to stay at the Contemporary, consider renting points for Bay Lake Tower, our stay there was phenomenal. I put the pictures on my TR, but I'll post the ones of our view here as well (this was a lake view, with requests for high floor, even number, north end).
Lake view:

After staying the week there I really want that to be our main resort every trip though DH preferred Boardwalk for the convenience of DHS & Epcot, though even he agreed the room itself paled in comparison.

That is so awesome on the job!!!

Like PP AKL & CR has good QS.... We had the Mara for breakfast and the Contempo Cafe for an after MVMCP cheese burger ;) Both were tasty.

Ugh 18 degrees. depressing. It was 4 degrees when I went to work this morning. I vow to move south!!!!!

A Disney movie marathon sounds fun!!

That view is awesome :) I know we will do BLT soon... Depending on availability at BWV for October trip I might consider BLT too... I was even thinking about doing 2 nights at one and 2 nights at another. We will be in a studio so transferring shouldn't be hard... I think I saw your husband and friend at CR when we were snacking on a cheeseburger... I saw two guys who looked an awful lot like your pictures!

It's been awesome! But early is a MUST. 7-1030/11 is great after that, a zoo. Today we were on toy story at 750. Rode, grabbed FP, rode standby again, then our FP were ready. So, yes 3x before 830! Met buzz and woody, Then we grabbed FP for rock n roll roller coaster, saw the lights motor and action stunt show. Sent hubs and dd11 to use our RRC fp, and I went and got FP for star tours. Got more when we got off, ate lunch and rode again, thennnnnn the crowds descended. So we went to the animation building and met characters, and did the drawing class. That was fun! Got some pp pics made, then met some family and chatted for about 40 mins before dinner at 50s. Back to the hotel, going to MK for late stuff here in a bit. Hoping to get big thunder and haunted mansion done during wishes. :)

Hi everyone! Was anyone at MK on Christmas day? I alwAys wanted to know how crowded it is, do you really need to be there at rope drop due to reaching capacity, I really want to go back for Christmas 2013, or maybe a cruise then Disney or wait for 2014 for a cruise.

That's so cool! I should have made him wear the LGMH instead of attaching it to the purse/backpack I guess. :rotfl:
Doing a split stay for 4 nights seems like a lot of moving to me but I'm contemplating something similar for our next trip ... 2 nights in a studio before moving into a 1 bedroom to save points and get the dining plan for the studio nights to get some of the more expensive meals out of the way, then have the kitchen and washer/dryer by the time we need it.

Hi everyone!

I haven't had much time to check in with you all since I went on my trip, but I wanted to say hi!

Our trip was really great. We didn't have ANY rain, which is a miracle. My feet were KILLING me, so I definitely need to get in better shape and walk a lot more before my next trip. I guess walking for 8-12 hours a day is a big deal.

I'm so glad that I got to hang out with you all and get to know you through this thread!

We were at EPCOt, but MK hit phase 2 closure about noon. Having been here all week, rope drop is a MUST if you want to actually do anything and not feel like a sardine. MK at/after wishes last night was good too.m

I think since we will be kidless and packing lightly it wouldn't be too bad. If I had my two little ones with me I wouldn't consider it at all! We don't plan on doing any cooking and just going with the flow. BWV for the food and wine days and BLT for our MK days? :) I am also expecting it to be slightly difficult to get close to Epcot during F&W so it's also my way of rationalizing two different resorts because of availability :)

MK reporting phase two closure.
