I just walked from LM to Animation Hall & it was a pleasant walk. I just came back here to add that in the LM section they had a cart selling drinks, snacks & breakfast items. I walked by quick but I did notice fruit, and some type of baked goods. Sorry I can't be more specific but I thought this was great for those who want something quick in the morning.

LOL, I actually find that quite amusing. The walk wasn't that bad to me, except after being in the park on my feet all day. And then it did change my decision making about breakfast, snacks and drink refills. Our refillabe mugs were almost worthless to us.

They really need to move ahead with the RFID chips in the mugs and add a drink station back there.

I loved AoA. It was a feast for the eyes. But I've seen it now, so I'll be returning to the Pop where I can pay for a closer standard room.

LM rooms DO connect. We had connecting rooms in building 9 in October, but they are not guaranteed.

We had connect rooms as well - in Building 9 back in September - 1 was a king size bed and the other 2 double beds. I was surprised that we received our request and happy at the same time (even happier that my parents were in there and not the in-laws :rotfl2:)

I am wanting to plan another trip at Disney world but I havent decided between Pop Century again or Art of Animation? Do you have any advice?

Thanks! How was the layout of your room?

The beds were on the opposite side- which i know can vary room to room. The bathroom was separate from the sink area too. The area where the sink and closet area were kind of part of the main area, and had a curtain divider. The toilet and shower were separated by a door. You're room must have been a connecting one as well- seeing the door with the octopus hooks on it. We didn't have one of those, and our hooks were to the left of the TV. The paintings were different too!

Just checked out if AoA FN and was super impressed with the facilities. 4 adults and 2 children had plenty of room.
Our major headache though our KTTK cards had to be rekeyed 4 times out of 5 days. We continually had issues... couldnt get into room then couldnt get into the parks. Everywhere we went our cards did not work. We were not the only ones as we heard several people also having to have their cards redone. CM at MK said it was an AoA computer issue ( although not sure that was entirely true to blame it all on AoA).

Our paintings changed twice while we were there :)

In terms of how early I think it's the luck of draw - stand check in time I *believe* is 3pm. I've read all different experiences. We checked in around 12pm and were able to go right to our room, I was pleasantly surprised!

Yes, you can check in online up to 10 days prior to arrival, however it doesn't mean your room will be ready. You can check in as early as you want and get your tickets and dining plan if you have a package, and they will notify you when the room is ready if not at check in. We have checked in as early as 6:30am.
