How much is your 2013 WDW vacation going to cost you?

I am going to have a great year!

First trip Jan 5th - 11th
Staying at ASMus - booked for 6 nights for $434
Purchasing AP for me and hubby - $1212
Food budget for week (hubby had stroke 5 years ago and we both have small appetites so we will share some counter services) $400
We are also bringing snacks and breakfast foods for room
We live in NC so we can drive both ways - $200 travel expenses

Budget for this trip - $2300 - Saved $300 by purchasing $1200 in WDW gift cards at Target!!!

Second trip - end of May / Early June 2013
Waiting for discounts to book our trip
I am going with friends for this trip (no hubby)
We will share a room between two people -more than likely a moderate
Unless DDP is free, we won't get it - we feel it is just too much food and we would not eat like it if we didn't have it.
Again I can drive there
Tickets already paid for with AP!
Budget for this trip - $1000

Dec 15-22, 2013

Trip with large amount of family members from around the country
Staying off-site in large rental home
Since there will be a large group - the cost per family for lodging will be low
We will be able to make a few meals at the house and breakfasts, but plan on three of four table service meals as a group
Tickets again already paid for with AP!!!!
Can drive from NC

Budget for this trip for me and hubby $2000

Total Disney Budget for 2013 - $5300 (minus the $300 savings from Target) - total now of $5000

I did not put into the budget for TiW card - but I figured it would wash itself out of the budget with its savings over the three trips

We used to always stay at the Poly - but I would rather go more often and stay at value and moderates than to go less often and stay at the Poly!

If you are looking for late May discounts, check out Pixie Vacations. They have summer kickoff special that they are running. I just booked a stay at the Poly with their special.

Nothing.....we can't afford it! Maybe 2014............

I'm going the end of May too. I requested several times for a quote from Pixie. But never got a response. I asked for it by email though because I don't have time to sit and talk on the phone so maybe they just don't work thru email? :confused3

3 different hotels on one trip?! Wow!!!

We did this to stay longer. We booked Beach Club on weekday rates and the other two for weekend. It would have been a lot more if we stayed the beach club the whole trip, which didn't really fit into the budget. No one in my family has ever stayed on site. I figured we can stay at one of the each levels of resorts (value, moderate, and deluxe) and see which one we like best...and the prove to my dad that the values wont be so bad! (He's skeptical!)

I was able to take advantage of the new promo and saved $636.99 on our May, 2013 trip. I need to go back and change my first post.

We are booked and PIF at POFQ Feb. 1-9, 2013. Our cost breakdown looks like this:

Travel party: myself, DD18, and DGD2

POFQ for 8n/9d in Garden view
5d WPF&M
Free DDP (pin code)
Booked thru WDW $2149.06

Gas and travel from Chicago to Orlando $700.00

One day parks pass to US/IOA for 2 adults $340.00

Scooter rental thru Buena Vista $240

Spending money and incidentals $1,000

Grand total $4429.06

(Some of these #'s are guesstimates because my travel book is in the other room.)

Just saved $636.99 by taking advantage of the new Spring Offer! Wooooooohooooooo![/QU

What was the Spring offer? I haven't seen an offer for May yet.

i received an email from disney destination on that spring special.

it should be on the website at this point.

I'm a Disney Visa member also..but didn't receive the email. Maybe because I had already booked? I did find it though. I've been on hold for 47 minutes and counting to see if they can even apply it to our ressies.....

January 2-6, 2 adults 2 teens, stay, play and dine package with 4 day base all star sports 1431

Gas(10 hr drive) 150

Spending 400

Total 1981

Yikes!!

Hi!! What new promo? I haven't been able to fine anything for May yet!! :confused3

We have a Disney Visa and I didn't get an email (for what it's worth, I hardly ever receive any emails from them) but I had read that a promotion was coming out on January 3rd. When I read a post that it came out to Disney Visa holders early, I called and had it applied. Let us know how your call goes. Hopefully, you can apply it to your existing reservation like I did and save some money.

Well, after about an hour on hold I was unsuccessful at applying the discount. The agent said that because of our travel dates (May 25-June 1) our last day would have to be separately booked and we could not do dining with a one day reservation. We would only save about $300 doing this..but then it would not be a true savings because our last day would no longer include dining. This is very confusing to me. I know before when we've had a code, as long as it was valid for your first day of stay then it was valid for your entire length of stay. I'm not sure why that isn't true with this one.... Anywho...Maybe another play, stay and dine will be released for May..but I doubt it.

Doubtful....andthis is a sign that Disney is really cutting back discounts....no more free dining and now no more "as long as your chech in date is included, all your days are".:sad2::sad2::rolleyes::sad2::sad2::sad2:

Interesting thread...

We have 2 trips planned in 2013 to maximize PAPs

Family of 6 (one is an infant)

June Trip
1BR BCV, 6/3 - 6/7, 140 points
1BR BVW, 6/7 - 6/10, 94 points
Airfare - one way on points, half at $609

Nov Trip
1BR BLT, 11/24 - 11/28, 120 points
5 night DCL Magic, Deluxe Family Stateroom with Verandah - ~$3500 (only 10% paid, balance not due til Sep)
Airfare - still collecting points! :)

PAPs from June 2013 to 2014, $2124

Total $ spent paid so far: ~$3,083
Total $ at the end (including DVC MFs): $7,000 + food & souvenirs

Not to nitpick, but the "as long as your check in date is included, all your days are" has only applied to free dining....never to the room discounts, so that aspect is nothing new.

Hum....that doesn't make sense to me at all. Our travel dates are May 22 to June 1st and I was able to apply the discount to all of our days and add the dining plan.
