I'm glad you liked them. It was a beautiful day and went much smoother than the actual wedding day did!

Okay, catching up with all the TRs I'm following and it's your turn!

Hi All! So this is my second attempt at this update today. I was almost finished with my first one when my computer froze and I lost everything :sad1: So let's try this again...

Ugh... :sad2: I hate it when that happens. Happened to me, too. Not fun.

I am sorry it's been so long since my last post but life keeps getting in the way.

Yeah! What gives! What's with the delays???

Oh, wait... I'm behind too, right?

Nevermind.

We are headed back to our happy place on May 4th. We are going right after Caitlin graduates from college :cool1: We will be spending 4 nights at the AOA in a Little Mermaid room and then 3 nights at Yacht Club CL and the boys will be joining us :cheer2:

Nice! :thumbsup2

We arrived in Norway shortly before 11. We hopped in line and enjoyed watching all the excited little princesses as they waited for their adrs at Akershus.

Been there, done that. Now they're too old.

Makes me kinda glad... and kinda sad. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Mulan was all alone so we stopped and got a picture with the very tiny princess.

Nice pic of the two of you, too.

I told her not to worry but that we were "infiltrating". She smiled and said as long as we weren't Huns it was ok :rotfl2:

I wonder what she says if you admit to being Huns?

We then headed into China and caught the movie for the first time ever.

You're one up on me. I've never been anywhere inside China at all.

Why are all the travel movies at Epcot so bad? The only enjoyable one is Canada IMO anyway.

Yay, us!

After the movie we paid a visit to the Tomb Warriors.

That's cool. Are they exact size reproductions?

We then said 再见 to China and continued on our journey around the world.

You said what?!?!? I read Mandarin and that's a terrible insult!

Okay, I don't read (or speak) Mandarin and I have no idea what that says... but you were worried there for a second, weren't ya?

The first opened F&W booth! He grabbed a beer to enjoy as we walked.

DSC00321.jpg

He sure looks happy! :)

After the show the CM who serves as host approached Dale and told him he had a phone call. Dale went down to the front and on the phone was Goofy! Despite his busy schedule he found time to call Dale and wish him "Happy Birthday!". Ya gotta love a guy like that :)

That's great! I know if a CM came up to me and told me I had a phone call, I'd be, "Oh, carp. Who's in the hospital?"

where he tried another beer. He needed it to wash down the mussels :crazy2:

I am not a foodie so I found this very gross! Dale loved it though!

Looks good to me, too.

At this point I was getting hungry and none of this F&W stuff was appealing to me. We headed back to the good ol' USofA where I found this delicacy

DSC00333.jpg

Oh my goodness, Dawn! You food rebel, you!

Yep, I have a gourmet palate!

I can tell!

When I was done eating we headed back toward Germany and noticed that the model train was all decorated for the festival.

Complete with passed out 'Drinking Around the World' patron.

Very authentic. ::yes::

Dale said "you don't even drink. Why did you want to do this?" I said, "Because it's FREE!"

:rotfl:

After we signed the releases the man brought us an apple strudel to share and a glass of dessert wine for each of us.

Two things I love. A nice dessert wine and anything apple dessert. :thumbsup2

Just before they started filming I turned to Dale and said, "how do I look?" He replied, "hot and sweaty". Yep, that man is a charmer

:lmao: Nice one Dale. Way to make a lady relax!

Once our 15 minutes of fame were over we had to make one more stop before leaving Epcot. Dale wanted to visit Canada and sample this

The famed Le Cellier filet. He loved it and it was his favorite F&W item.

I can imagine!

mmmm.... filet.

When he finished we decided to leave Epcot and head over to the second resort of our split stay. I'll tell you about that next time!

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

I looked up "Food and Wine Festival 2012" on You Tube and it is the one by the DisneyBlog. We are near the end of the video :)

I'm at work now, but I'll be sure to look it up as soon as I can.

Okay, catching up with all the TRs I'm following and it's your turn!

Glad you're still with us :)

Nice! :thumbsup2

Makes me kinda glad... and kinda sad. I'm sure you know what I mean.

I do. I always tried to enjoy whatever age/stage Caitlin was at because I knew it wouldn't last too long.

Nice pic of the two of you, too.

Thank you

I wonder what she says if you admit to being Huns?

I'll have to try that next time :rotfl2:

You're one up on me. I've never been anywhere inside China at all.

Yay, us!

Absolutely! :thumbsup2

That's cool. Are they exact size reproductions?

I don't think so they are kind of short.

You said what?!?!? I read Mandarin and that's a terrible insult!

According to the internet that is "goodbye" in Chinese. Of course you can't trust everything you read on the internet...

Okay, I don't read (or speak) Mandarin and I have no idea what that says... but you were worried there for a second, weren't ya?

He sure looks happy! :)

Yea, it doesn't take much :rotfl:

That's great! I know if a CM came up to me and told me I had a phone call, I'd be, "Oh, carp. Who's in the hospital?"

Looks good to me, too.

Yuck!

We've been together 28 years so we're pretty honest :rotfl:

Thanks for reading! Happy New Year

All caught up!

We were at Epcot on F&W preview day too! I was so excited to see the booths open, and made a decent dent in my quest to eat around the world. I agree that is was nice that is wasn't crowded, so much different than the rest of the week!

Congrats to your daughter on her wedding, she made a beautiful bride! :goodvibes

To hoping 2013 is a wonderful year and brings many more magical moments (and Disney trips)!

I do hope to get an update asap. Between the wedding reception, Christmas, a bout of food poisoning, both my parents being hospitalized and now a new puppy...life has been CRAZY :faint: I am ready for life to slow down so I have time to Dis!

I'm fine. Just 24 hours of misery.
My mom was hospitalized for 5 days following routine bloodwork. They found a potentially life threatening kidney problem which they were able to treat and she has recovered from. They also found she had a dangerously slow heartbeat so she was given a pacemaker. If she makes the life changes the doctors suggest she will be fine. I tend to see to it that she listens to them ::yes::
My father has been battling kidney stones and is much better now.

Thank you for asking! :goodvibes

Glad to hear your parents are doing well after their health scares.

My dad has gotten them every couple of years for the last 10 years or so. This time however they started while we were in Disney (yep more drama yet to come) but 3 months later he was still suffering with it :(
