After lunch, we spent most of the afternoon/evening at IoA. When it was time for dinner, Pete knew exactly where he wanted to go: Hard Rock Cafe. He loves going to this restaurant in different cities, because the chef at each restaurant designs a different burger that's only available at that individual restaurant. We were seated immediately once we walked up.
Pete had the local legendary burger.
We didn't take notes of what was on the burger, so I'm just telling you what I remember (which isn't as much as I wish it was). It was 3 patties topped with bacon and 3 kinds of cheese: cheddar, swiss, and blue. It was topped with an onion ring, lettuce, and tomato. I think that there guacamole on it, but I don't remember for sure. Pete really loved this. He ate the whole thing, and said that he didn't have enough room for dessert (even though that changed once my dessert got there).
I had Hard Rock Nachos topped with BBQ pulled pork.
Fresh corn tortilla chips piled high with Jack and Cheddar cheeses and seasoned pinto beans. Served with sour cream, chopped green onions, pico de gallo, jalapeños and a side of fresh Hard Rock Grilled Salsa. These were really good, but the pork was not quite what I expected. There was no BBQ sauce anywhere to found, and the pork itself was really dry. Otherwise, this was fantastic.
When it was time to order dessert, Pete said that he was too full. I ordered the hot fudge brownie.
Ben & Jerrys® vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on a fresh brownie, topped with chocolate sprinkles, fresh whipped cream and a cherry. This ordinarily comes with chopped walnuts, but I ordered it without. There was a ton of hot fudge (which is one of my many weaknesses). I would have eaten it all by myself, but Pete took one look at it, and decided that he had room for dessert after all.
