I would love to be added to the April board! DH, DM, DS, and I will be staying at the AoA Resort April 27-May 3rd. I'm sooo excited :)

Airfare drama ahead --

so I've dragged my butt on booking our flights down just b/c I've been preoccupied with the holidays and such, I figured I'd do it after. All of a sudden the other day my flight (that hasn't moved in months) went from $358 to $428 which isn't a huge amount except the bump up in points (20k to 25k) means I only had enough points to cover 2 tickets vs. 3. So instead of the $358 I was planning to pay (for 1 ticket), I would now have to pay for 2 tickets x $428 = $860. That's a pretty big difference. (I could buy the 15k points I needed but that would have been like $375 so no bargain.) SO....... I just sucked it up and booked a 6:30 a.m. flight :coffee: which means we'll have to stay overnight by the airport (Manchester) which I really didn't want to do. BUT, I guess it's not the end of the world. On the bright side, we should be at AoA by 11 a.m. :cheer2: (probably ready for a nap).

I know there are several people here familiar with MHT; since it's so much smaller/less busy than Logan do we not need to get there so early or do we still need to get there 1.5 hours before?

ETA: I just checked SW website. They recommend 2 hours for Boston and 90 minutes for MHT. Poop, I was hoping to be able to sleep in a little.
I'm excited to fly SW. In my many travels over the years I've NEVER flown SW

Honestly, because we live less than 10 minutes from MHT, it is not uncommon for us to show up 45-60 minutes before our flight...because waiting for a plane with kids is not fun, but it has always been fine cutting it that close.....MHT is compact and the line through security is short. :thumbsup2

thats what i figured.....no huge security line. our flight is actually 6:50 so if we get a wakeup call at 5, in the lobby at 5:15 and at the airport around 5:30, that should be fine. even adding a few minutes for a delay in getting there, we still will be there at least an hour before

Posting for ticker, we're definitely under four months now...^^

As winter comes here in NH, I've started the downward spiral of constant illness again...eeeeeeewwwww. I need a good 80-degree Florida day now more than ever!

Merry Christmas to all April Disfriends ! Lots to look forward to in 2013. Enjoy your time with your families :grouphug:

I'm sure I'm not the only one with a few busy days ahead. May all of you enjoy every moment you have with family and friends. I may not have a chance to get on for a few days, so wanted to send my greetings now. Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are all too busy these next two days enjoying the holiday to check in here. ;)

Happy Festivus, as well. Did you air your grievances? :)

Got to have just a little "taste" of Disney World this weekend!! We flew into MCO Saturday night and stayed a night at the Nick Hotel, driving on down to Naples yesterday to visit my family for Christmas.

We had no plans to set foot on Disney property, but as DH was yelping for a place to eat dinner Saturday night, one if the closest places to us with good reviews was "this place called Olivia's".

Thanks to a recent thread on here, I recognized the name as being a Disney restaurant! After looking at the menu, he was sold. I was able to get a last minute ADR, and it was wonderful! DH declared it the hidden gem of Disney.

We had never been to OKW before, as we are usually dependent on Disney transportation to get around. So I was glad to get to check it out when we had a car for a change. And the kids had a blast playing on the playground and "beach".

It was weird and cool being at Disney so unexpectedly, felt a little like "practice" for the real thing in a few months, lol!

Please our name to the April 2013 list. We are arriving on 4/11 for 6 nights(6 adults and 5 children) and will be at Beach Club. I do enjoy reading everyone's posts. Grammy

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday. We just collapsed at home after 3 long family filled days. We are now bracing for a huge snowstorm, so will have lots of time on here to catch up on my Disney news, and start planning my strategy for Jan 3, to get that new discount:cool1:

I am SO excited I found this thread!! I love having disney obsessed people to share my excitement with!! We will be going April 6-14 with my hubby and my whole family!! My hubby is disney crazy ( not as bad as me - I have been planning this trip since the day we got back from our disney moon in September and he thinks its wayyyy too early, lol) and this is my family's FIRST stay on property! We will be staying at POP!!

Now that the holidays are coming to an end...my planning will be getting exponentially worse!

Just wanted to say that I am "Grammie" (with an "ie" to match my name and not a "y" like a music award, lol). So, I am guessing that there are grandchildren on this trip? I'd love to see my grandchildren see the castle for the first time.

if this whole FP+ thing will be in working order by April? I am getting concerned that we might be picking FP+ times along side day guests. It sounds like resort guests are going to get priority with this system (Jim Hill) and our trip is 100 days away. I am not in any hurry myself to pick what I want to ride 100+ days from now but if I have to do it I want to do it on the resort guest time line and not the day guest time line. I hope I am not sounding snobby but if i am paying the WDW resort prices I want what is coming to me know what I mean? :) Anyone have any info concerning this.

:wave2:

I'm Kristen and over the course of my (almost) 29 years I've visited The World 49 times. April 2013 will definitely be a milestone as it'll be marking my 50th trip! My DD is 3 (soon to be 4) and it will be her 6th trip, the first being at the age of 15 months. I started her young and cannot complain; she can navigate each park as well as I can!

DD's first two trips consisted of just us, and then her 2nd birthday rolled around. I had ordered her a stuffed Mickey and Minnie from the Disney Store and when she opened them her excitement level was so extreme that she started shaking. All in attendance saw it and my Mom, Gammy, and Auntie insisted on booking a trip that very afternoon; her 3rd visit was just a month after! I grew up going to WDW (thanks to my Gampy! He passed in '04 but I know he's with us every single day. He was a HUGE kid at heart and also insisted that my brother and I experience the magic of Disney as often as possible. DD constantly brings him up, using his first name - Walter - though no one has ever told it to her, and when I was 8 weeks PREGNANT I had a dream where he held up a bright pink poster board that said "Congratulations". It may not sound like much but until that time I had worried non-stop about what he would think of my pregnancy as I had left DD dead beat dad the night before I found out!) and though my Gammy hadn't been there since I was 14 she reveled in it all!

As a side note: I'm a long winded person who loves to write! :lmao:

Our upcoming trip is from April 23 - May 1, barring of course no hurricanes! I live in Northeast, PA and our vacation in October was unintentionally extended by 3 days because of Hurricane Sandy. When I received notice of the storm (via my Dad) I didn't 100% believe him; our airline called not even an hour later to let me know that our flight had been canceled! This, mind you, was 4 days in advance and the earliest I could book to come back home was for November 4th; we were supposed to leave on the 1st. We are, very thankfully AP holders, but the extra nights at our resort broke the budget. Not to mention the fact that I'm a nurse and we're only allowed a certain amount of vacation days per year and our October trip was taken via an unpaid leave. I've done unpaid vacations in the past without issue but adding 3 extra days left a sour taste.:crazy2:

We're currently booked in a 2 bedroom at BLT. Both my aunt and I are interested in owning DVC and thought it'd be a perfect choice. However, we
we have recently discussed canceling and staying off-site at Sheraton Vistana Villas, a resort we've stayed at many times over. The 5 of us (me, DD, Auntie, Mom, Gammy) can stay there for the entire duration for the cost of 1.5 nights at BLT. Ah, decisions, decisions! In my opinion, nothing compares to staying at a Disney resort - you're truly surrounded my magic! But, every now and again, my bank account balances tend to disagree with my opinion! ;)

I look forward to getting to know those of you who will be there during our stay and wish all of you a happy, healthy new year and trip! pixiedust:

I'm obsessed too - sometimes I wonder if I'm borderline crazy! :lmao: My daughters and I will be at Pop the same week as you. :) 100 more days! :cool1: Come over to the April 2013 DISers Facebook page:
