I had a wonderful week at Disney beginning Dec. 6th. I am now lonely for Disney again. Am I crazy to even think of doing it again so soon ?????
My regular vacation is 7 nights. So ..... I was thinking of a shorter trip - maybe for 4 nights. I think I may be able to get a 35% discount.

So .... I have never been there in February. I was seriously thinking of February 25th for 4 nights. How are the crowds then ? Do some schools have spring break that early? This will be a solo trip.

Thanks so much !

Crowd levels will be low, it's a week after Presidents weekend and all schools are in session. Excellent time to go:thumbsup2

We'll be there 2/28-3/5. Crowd calendars show 3 to 6 at worst.

It's a wonderful time to go to WDW!:cheer2:

It wouldn't be Spring Break for schools, it would be Winter Break - however that usually coincides with President's Day which is the week before. Colleges have Spring Break in March, but it would start a week or two after your dates. I think you're safe!

We have done that week a few times and the crowds are always low and the weather is perfect for me. It's my favorite week to visit!!!

We are going a few days that week. I think it'll be horribly crowded--no one should go! Millions of people! Crowd calendars say 10! Everyone stay home!!! :lmao: Kidding of course...looks like it's a good time to go. Just want to scare off everyone else! :)

It should not be very crowded, but just so you know, Feb 24 (the day before) is the Princess Half Marathon.

Our school system is out Feb 25th-Mar 1 provided there is no snow. They built in a week for snow make up. We 're scheduled for the Poly 2/23-3/3 but if it snows, we'll have to push it back a couple of days.

Hoping for no snow!!

Hoping for lower crowds as we will be there Feb 24th to march 1st. (Its our school winter break)

Again, those of you there on the 24th might want to look at how the Princess Half could affect travel plans. It runs directly from Epcot to Magic Kingdom and back, so there will be road closures. Y'all will just want to be prepared for that.

We went around this time last year (Feb. 29-March 6, 2012) and it was great - weather very warm and low crowds I thought although there would always be longer lines in the afternoon for the most popular rides.

We've been a few times that week as it's NH winter break. It's an amazing week to visit.

To Amanda's point about the marathon; yes there are lots of road closures that day. If you us WDW transportation it's not a big deal but you do definitely need to allow for more travel time that day. If you drive to the parks, I'm sure it can be difficult.

Amanda, will you be there this year? It would be nice to see you again.

Not to panic you... But there are no 'sweeping' generalizations like "all schools are in session' .. That's simply not true.

Schools here in Canada are taking that week as a March Break for example and I know of a few schools in Maine that do the same.

Having said that, the preponderance of schools will NOT be taking a break that week and the crowd levels should be good as noted..

As the week goes on, you'll see crowds generally increase as more and more people arrive for the following week. It's subtle at first and becomes more obvious towards the end of the week.

Don't stress tho, as noted, it won't be bad at all.

Trudy, I'll be there February 18-26. What are your dates and which resort?

Same for us --- I think we are in the same school district here in Kentucky. :thumbsup2

We are booked at POR 2/23 - 3/2 and I am HOPING and PRAYING for no snow!!!

We are. :thumbsup2 I know several families planning trips but DD is in AP and on the academic team -- she just can't miss any days or practices. We're scheduled for the Poly for 2/23-3/3 but flying Southwest, so I can change tickets, and room-only so I can move dates if needed. NO SNOW NO SNOW!
