Partner hotel or 4th day

If you had a choice between staying at a Partner Hotel and getting early admission or going from a 3 day ticket to a 4 day ticket, which would you do?

The crowd level on undercover tourist is mostly 5's for the time I will be there.

I know it's frustrating to get a lot of views and no responses - I'm afraid I don't really understand what you're asking. Why do you have to choose between these two options? They seem rather unrelated. Could you give us a bit more information, so we can try to advise you? :)

I will either stay at the partner hotel or stay at a cheaper hotel and use the savings to pay for the extra day.

Unless you're visiting at a super busy time, stay offsite and use the extra money to pay for an additional day.

I guess I'm confused... the OP asked whether you would choose staying offsite at a Partner hotel OR get a 4th day... I don't see why they can't do both, as many of you have suggested. OP - why do you need to choose between staying offsite and getting a 4th day??

They asked for a choice and my opinion was given. Maybe they're taking some kind of poll?

I wasn't criticizing anyone who responded... I was hoping the OP would return and give us more info so we could determine what, exactly, they're trying to figure out...?? (Like I said, I don't exactly understand what they're asking, as the two choices they offered are anything but mutually exclusive!!)

After being one (or two, maybe three) of the views with no response...I *think* that they are saying "partner" but meaning onsite. So they will stay onsite for 3 days or stay offsite for 4.

Just a guess.

I'd make sure I was getting the best deal (something impossible to do 9+ months ahead of time), and stay ONsite for 4 if at all possible. But we're a little crazy for the resorts and the parks there. :)

Perhaps you're right. That makes more sense. In that case, I'd stay onsite - after having done both, I will NEVER stay offsite again. Ever.

Hear, hear!! :cool1:

partner hotel and onsite are two different things. Onsite is Portofino, Hard Rock, Royal Pacific and partner hotels are those hotels where you get early park admission because you booked a Universal package.

Exactly. Which is why I was confused by the OP. :)

OP what about trying this...

Stay ONSITE ( not a partner hotel ) at Royal Pacific ( the cheapest, if you have AAA call them for rates as they do not show up online ) for two nights, which will get you three days of early admission AND unlimited front of the line passes.

Buy your tickets at a reputable online retailer ( Mapleleaf is one, you will save money ), make sure you buy the park to park ones.

I have found the partner hotel packages to be way overpriced for what you get...it really is cheaper to stay onsite and buy your own tickets if you price it out.

We are trying for a budget trip. We have one of the cheaper partner hotels booked. We can cancel the package and stay at an even cheaper hotel and use the money we save to buy an extra days park ticket.
