The holiday decorations are so beautiful!

:woohoo: for Des' annual pass! She is going to love it. ;) :lmao:

The "sandwich" photos are awesome! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to read what you all did first at Epcot! :goodvibes

Kathy I am sorry for your loss - I didn't know her but see that Tracy was much loved here on DIS

How great to have front row seats for ME. My goofy kid always wants to sit in the back of the bus. :confused3

Sorry to hear that CSR lost its #1 status with you guys on this trip. I'll be curious to read more on that. Its such a pretty resort, but I am guessing that this had more to do with it being a conference resort.

LOVE the tree at the Dolphin, and the mickey train. cute!

You all are clearly having a great time. :cool1: for the ticket upgrade. I am curious why Des got an AP and Andy didn't?

Hmm free beer for adding a day to his park pass? seems like Andy made out on this deal:thumbsup2

Hi Kathy, So sorry on the loss of your friend cancer is such an evil disease.
On another topic our local news just showed the snow coming down at your Chicago airport stay safe and warm tonight. :santa: Elaine

I will respond to everyone later (running to the mall...heaven help us...for a few last minute Christmas gifts).

But I wanted to take a moment to tell you that the DIS lost a wonderful person today. Her name was Tracy (she was manntra here on the DIS). I never had the pleasure of meeting Tracy in person, but we were FB friends and we exchanged messages and comments on FB. She was a lovely woman who fought hard against her cancer. Rest in Peace my friend...you will be truly missed.
OMG, I'm so sorry to hear that. I didn't really know her, but had chatted with her on the Dis Chat. RIP Tracy. God bless her.

I'm a little late to the party, but at least I haven't missed too much! I love how you surprised your DH with the trip! What a great idea. It looks like this is going to be a wonderful family trip :) We just got back from CSR as well!

The decorations at the Beach Club at Christmas are wonderful. And it smells soooooo good in there, too!!
If you recall from my TR, it was teenagers at the pool that ruined one of our nights at the pool as well. Not being rotten really, just not very considerate of others sharing the same space. I hope I have been able to make my kids aware of the surroundings in life when they are out in public places.

Yay for spending an evening at Epcot!!!! And Hurray for annual passes!!!! I hope to get some use out of mine as well.

Nicki and Todd have eaten here in the past, but the rest of us never had. We were really looking forward to it. I'm not going to post food pictures because Nicki is doing the dining reviews for our trip (if you've not hooked up with that yet, here's the link one more time: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3032686)

Lots of good pictures on that thread :rotfl:

But here are some photos I took at dinner:

Aw, nice pictures!

We were then going to walk to the Boardwalk but along the way, we had to stop at Epcot for Des to get her "first ever" annual pass and for Andy to pick up his park hopper ticket. As we were walking, Nicki suggested we just go into Epcot and do the Boardwalk later. We were all for it, but Andy had only bought a six-day park ticket. We told him to see how much more it would cost to add another day. Well, if you could have seen us goofs...we all started asking people to "donate to the Andy one extra day ticket fund." It was hysterical. Well, it only ended up costing him $10 extra to add a 7th day so he went for it. I told him his first beer was on me (that would cover the cost of the ticket just about).

That was hysterical, collecting for the Andy Fund! We were all very goofy that night or call it giddy but whatever it was we were having the most fun ever and the pictures sure do show it!

Des and her first AP:

She was the happiest girl in all the land!

And while waiting for Andy....

And, of course, I had to get in on the action too:

Up next, we enter Epcot and what do we do first?

Those pictures are too much! Gosh were we having fun, can we go back like RIGHT NOW?

Checking in! I followed your link in Nikki's thread and I've been reading - great start - love the surprise! I decided I'd better check in so I don't lose my place! I saw your pics on FB - looks like a wonderful, magical trip!:thumbsup2

Perfect spot for your first dinner and I think you made a good choice on going into Epcot.

Yea for Des's first AP! :cool1: Such a great feeling to have one of those in my pocket (well, I actually have an expired one in my pocket now). :rotfl:

Yea for Des' first AP > I am planning on getting mine next year !!!!:cool1:Andy and his $10 extra day too !!! Loved the Nicki Sandwich !!!!

Sorry about your Dis friend Tracy.... how truly sad.

Like the many, many, many others that enjoyed the Nicki/Todd surprise, the video captured the moment so well! ;)

The lobby decorations are so lovely! What a great time of year to go to WDW.

You guys are so funny with the fund to get Andy a 7 day ticket! :lmao:

I really need to get to Beaches and Cream one of these days. Either for a kitchen sink or a no way Jose, depending on how much help I have.

So, did any random people donate to Andy's cause??? Either way, $10 is well worth it for a few hours in Epcot, and the free drink will definitely cover his extra expense.

I think we had probably just left Epcot just before you got there.

I'm so glad you got a "real" bus...:lmao:

I'm sorry you didn't care for the CSR... I'm sure we'll hear more about that along the way?

I love the photos of you eating in Beaches... it's so cute and charming in there... I challenge anyone not to feel like a kid in there...:goodvibes

That Gingerbread Carousel is really pretty :thumbsup2 & it somehow looks really familiar...:scratchin ...:rotfl2:

fun photos at B & C and love the shots of you, nicki and the guys!

the decorations at resort are beautiful!

hope you all don't get to slammed by the snow!

Nicki and Todd have eaten here in the past, but the rest of us never had. We were really looking forward to it.

Looks like a good time was had by all. Did you get the kitchen sink?

Looking at Stormalong Bay while waiting for everyone to visit the ladies/mens room:

Admit it, it was the ladies. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Well, if you could have seen us goofs...we all started asking people to "donate to the Andy one extra day ticket fund." It was hysterical.

You probably could have found enough in loose change around the Boardwalk!

And while waiting for Andy....

A Nicki sandwich:

With extra cheese! :lmao:

Loving all the Christmas decorations! That white poinsettia tree at the Dolphin is just gorgeous  Beaches n Cream was on my list for both past trips and we haven't made it there yet. Must remedy that next year.

Love the carousel at Beach Club! :goodvibes

It was gorgeous.

Luvin the decorations at Beach club as well. Disney is fab at Christmas time

I agree, and am so glad we got to see it all.

The holiday decorations are so beautiful!

:woohoo: for Des' annual pass! She is going to love it. ;) :lmao:

The "sandwich" photos are awesome! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to read what you all did first at Epcot! :goodvibes

Karin, they are even more beautiful in person...pictures don't do them justice.

I love my AP and I'm sure Des will too.

Working on that update next.

Kathy I am sorry for your loss - I didn't know her but see that Tracy was much loved here on DIS

Tracy was one you just felt an instant click with.

How great to have front row seats for ME. My goofy kid always wants to sit in the back of the bus. :confused3

I've never understood the fascination with the back of the bus. :confused3

Sorry to hear that CSR lost its #1 status with you guys on this trip. I'll be curious to read more on that. Its such a pretty resort, but I am guessing that this had more to do with it being a conference resort.

It's partly because we've been spoiled by OKW with the boat, etc.; the conference part doesn't bother me...we've stayed 10 times now and 9 of those with convention people and never had a problem; it was the kids and their parents from Pop Warner that spoiled it for us.

LOVE the tree at the Dolphin, and the mickey train. cute!

The tree was specactular, and I loved the cute train (so did Mark...he's a big train person)

You all are clearly having a great time. :cool1: for the ticket upgrade. I am curious why Des got an AP and Andy didn't?

We were having a great time; Des got one because she is going back in February with her cousin to celebrate her cousin's 21st birthday and then, I think, in October with her family. As of now, Andy is not planning on going next year (he can't go in February because it is baseball practice season)

Hmm free beer for adding a day to his park pass? seems like Andy made out on this deal:thumbsup2

I think Andy made out too...because he ended up with two beers that night. :rotfl2:

Hi Kathy, So sorry on the loss of your friend cancer is such an evil disease.
On another topic our local news just showed the snow coming down at your Chicago airport stay safe and warm tonight. :santa: Elaine

I hate that "C" word. We ended up with only the grass dusted with snow...we got lucky. Markie and Alisha had over 12 inches and no power for 6 hours.

OMG, I'm so sorry to hear that. I didn't really know her, but had chatted with her on the Dis Chat. RIP Tracy. God bless her.

A very sad loss. :sad1:

I'm a little late to the party, but at least I haven't missed too much! I love how you surprised your DH with the trip! What a great idea. It looks like this is going to be a wonderful family trip :) We just got back from CSR as well!

:wave2::wave2: I have another new reader. :goodvibes Thank you...it was a lot of work, but it went perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed CSR.

The decorations at the Beach Club at Christmas are wonderful. And it smells soooooo good in there, too!!
If you recall from my TR, it was teenagers at the pool that ruined one of our nights at the pool as well. Not being rotten really, just not very considerate of others sharing the same space. Yay for spending an evening at Epcot!!!! And Hurray for annual passes!!!! I hope to get some use out of mine as well.

The Beach Club was stunning...and I do love that smell.

It wasn't only teenagers, but tweens and little kids. It was just so uncalled for.

I can't wait to use my AP again (I've gotten two uses out of this thus far and am aiming for three more before they expire).
