2nd November
This was our MNSSHP evening, so I hadn't planned for us to do much during the day. I had started to panic a little that we hadn't done 'enough' but we would make up for that later on. We decided to head to DTD for an early lunch as I was pretty sick of the counter service food at OKW.
Once there, we had a look around the shops and bought a few souvenirs. We decided to eat at Cookes of Dublin, which turned out to be better than expected. The fish and chips here were a lot better than the ones at Epcot UK. We walked around and then stumbled upon the water fountains that come up out of the path. The kids LOVED these. We sat on a bench and watched them get thoroughly soaked.
Soon it was time to head back as we needed to get ready for MNSSHP!
MNSSHP
I had decided that we would dress up for this. The rest of the family wasn't convinced and did so rather reluctantly. Even getting on the bus was funny as people made funny involuntary noises when they saw us. One little girl did not take her eyes off me for the whole journey - I think she was terrified.
Once inside the park, the fun began. People were so friendly when we were in fancy dress. They chatted to us, commented on our costumes and some even asked us for pictures.
Me - Sally
Kev - Jack Sparrow
Olivia - Corpse Bride
Jess - Queen of Hearts
Emilia - Pumpkin Minnie Mouse
By early evening, Emilia was asleep and Olivia was flagging. I dragged Jess on to the Haunted Mansion and got a shout-out from the ghost-lady who sits outside.
Some pesky ghosts were looking for a ride
And we got a picture of the castle looking spectacurlarly spooky!
Every place to eat was packed. I had cancelled our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern, so we were a bit stuck. We ended up in Columbia Harbour House which was really nice. I had a 'slaw sandwich and an apple dessert - both were good.
I dragged the kids into Philharmagic which I loved 9and so did they) and we went on quite a few other rides, including POTC, which wowed us all. I love Johnny Depp at the end; he is so lifelike! The queues were manageable but it was quite crowded in the park. Unfortunately, after Hallowishes, when the crowds start to thin, everyone had had enough. Another late night bites the dust, and I start to think about moving rooms at OKW, so we can get a lie-in...
