I have been looking at rental prices for Dec 28 - January 4 for several months and prices don't seem to be changing much. Standard SUV for $359 is still the best I can find. Has anyone had success with other companies and coupons?

Budget continues to be our best bet as well. We have a one-week SUV rental for $302 taxes included, less a $25 coupon for a final total of $277.

Alamo (who we love) is still showing this morning as almost $800 for a compact car .

Pickup in Ft Lauderdale 12/19 and drop off at Southwest Regional on 12/23. I'm STILL in shock!

Not sure what type of vehicle you were looking for but picking up FLL and return RSW is $134 inc taxes for a compact with Alamo through Costco.

Just booked with Budget. Pick up & Drop off @ the Doubletree on Hotel Plaza Blvd. Pick up 12/26, drop off 01/02. I used BCD Y937800 & coupon MUWZ003. Rate is $199 (tax incl) plus we get $20 off on the return.

YOU are AWESOME! Just my daughter and I with carry-ons - so the smallest car is fine! I would have never even considered that option. We get in at Noon - so I'm sure it will be fine.

Just wanted to report that this worked like a charm for us!

Took a taxi (rudest female driver EVER!!!) - taxi charge was $31 (they suggested 15 - 20% tip) - I gave $3 (didn't even want to do that as she was horrible!) Anyway... checked in, we had reserved the most economical car class possible - ended up driving a 2 Door Black MUSTANG all week!! It was DD and I so it was perfect! $110 + taxi fare for 5 nights - thanks robinB and DisBoards!

I am so frustrated with myself! I booked a minivan for about $250/week starting on December 30. I got the code from this thread. Now I can't find the email confirmation. I don't remember what site or company I booked through to try to retrieve the reservation. Trying to read back to find where I posted on here!!

I think you booked through Budget. In one of your earlier posts you asked about using Travelocity to book a minivan through Budget.

You might want to double check your rates. I had a compact reserved through Alamo for $233 and I just rebooked for only $183 (a mid-size!!) - Dec. 31 - Jan. 9! I used the Rentalcarmomma.com code.

You can go to Rentalcarmomma.com and there is a link. I also signed up with Alamo insiders so that also helped to reduce the price. Was originally picking up from the Dolphin but adding a day and picking up at the airport is saving us that $50!

If you are looking for a minivan I just booked mine with Budget using x474200. Comes to just under $300. It's the same rate I had last October and could never find anything better. There is also a coupon that is currently expired, but it's been around since last year and every so often they will extend the expiration to get you another $20 or $25 off.
