Will You Chill Out if I Sprinkle You With Pixie Dust? The End p136 *New TR Link* p138

Great TR as usual. I know about the burn out, sort of had it this time myself. We did a lot of resort time & left the parks around 8 in the evenings.

You do have quite a few trips coming up in the new year. I will be looking forward to them also.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your adventures. Thanks so much for sharing. Love that the magic has worn off on your brothers family :)

The whole shooting thing is so awful I can't think about it.

Fabulous wrap up. You had a pretty good trip. I am glad your brother drank the koolaid.

Sorry Jen - I didn't even see this! Not sure why. D'oh! Thanks!

Yup - he totally drank the koolaid. It ail be interesting to see what he thinks about staying off site versus on site. Either way, he is pretty psyched for this upcoming trip.

Sorry Jen - I didn't even see this earlier. D'oh!

I am very glad my brother drank the koolaid. I really didn't think that was ever going to happen. Now I'm curious to see what he thinks about off-site versus on-site.

I think the warm weather really encourages the burn out. I really struggled with it in June, but in October I felt no burn out whatsoever. Resort time is great. That has become such an important part of the trip for me.

:goodvibes Can't wait!!

I just edited a whole bunch of pictures, so I am getting all geared up to start. Hopefully I will start at the end of the weekend. :thumbsup2

The June trip was really an add-on because my brother invited us. Originally I had no plans to go again in June. I wasn't planning to return until October. That was going to be hard.

So glad you enjoyed my TR. I had a lot of fun writing it. It is great that my brother and his family are looking forward to their next trip. I think its great.

The whole shooting thing is so awful I can't think about it.

I have been watching it on the news - its just horribly tragic. So hard to believe, It's like that guy wiped out a whole kindergarten class. Are you kidding me?

I enjoyed reading along. Looking forward to the next TR !!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed my TR. Next one coming soon. I just wish I could update half as fast as you do. :rotfl2:

Great wrap-up of your trip! I am really looking forward to your October TR. :thumbsup2

Thank you! Thanks for hanging out over here. Next TR starting very soon. :thumbsup2

So I just learned about the shooting in Connecticut. I had no idea. I shopped all day today and never heard anyone mention it. I can't believe I didn't know. I am saddened and sickened. It's not even enough to say that my thought and prayers are with those children and their families.

I'm speechless.

Oh wow, I know! I turned on the TV in the afternoon and it was all over the news. Soo horrible!

BTW, Great TR! Loved the recaps. Can't wait to see the next one!

I can not even begin to imagine the horror those families are experiencing. Really makes a case for home schooling, doesn't it? And I don't mean that to sound sarcastic. 5 and 6 years olds. Really? It's so crazy. And those poor parents can't even see their children because they are still "processing the scene". It's just too much.

Thank you and I am gearing up for the next one. Hoping to start very soon. Thanks for following along with me!

Great wrap up! It was a very enjoyable read for sure, I am so happy your bro finally got it and it all worked out in the end.

I spent all day yesterday at work refreshing the CNN website to get more news about the horrific events in Connecticut. What an absolute horror. :(

Thank you! I so enjoyed having you along for the whole read. It was wonderful to see my brother "get it". I hope that feeling just intensifies in June and I am excited to be surprising them with the F! dinner package.

In a way, I think you are very fortunate that you do not have to watch it 24/7 on your national news. Once I found out about it, that's all we watched last night. I am sure more details were emerge today. It is very difficult to see a community so devastated in such a horrific way.

Well, Mary Ellen, you have done it again! Another beautiful TR with so many great pics! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I'm in a bit of a depressive funk today. That shooting put me in a bad mood, and work is, well, stressful, this week. That plus my own kids are practically like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with their getting along, not getting along, now we're getting along... Oy.
At least they are here with me. I have to be grateful for that. Thank the Lord! We've avoided watching the news much, I don't think they even know it happened.

So I'm glad to escape to see your pictures!! I'm really looking forward to your next TR - since I was there then too!

I need to get motivated and finish my March trip so I can get going on October after Christmas!!

You did it!!!! you wrapped this one up and are ready for Oct. :cool1:

I need to get on with it. I have DL and maybe Oct to do. I may just do pictures of DL and then go right to Jan. :rolleyes1

If I have any pictures from Halloween or anything i can maybe just post then when you get to it??

I should have your pp in the mail this week Pat, I can't imagine we will get to that night first but we will all have copies of the same group shots. Though honestly the one in my phone is my
Fav lol.

Love the recap and lists of firsts.

Assuming I get the time off in June (I can't request it until the second week of January), I can't wait to meet you and Anita. :goodvibes

Without going into too much detail, you are going to LOVE Be Our Guest. It was one of the best meals of our trip; but you'll have to wait for Nicki's review (you should pop over to her dining reviews of our trip) and I'll have pictures on my TR.

As always, loved your TR and your spectacular pictures.

Thanks Sheree! That's such a nice compliment. :goodvibes

The shooting is over the topic tragic and I think it would be affecting me a lot worse if I had school age children. Not that it really makes a difference. It's just that it would be easier to identify with the parents. Of course, when I think of my kindergarten nephew, CJ, I get sort of sick to my stomach.

Dr Jeckll and Mr Hyde - my kids were exactly like that at that age. Would you believe me if I told you it gets better - like when they are graduating highshool. :rotfl:

At least they are here with me. I have to be grateful for that. Thank the Lord! We've avoided watching the news much, I don't think they even know it happened.

That's probably best. It's just too disturbing to share that with school age children. I'm all for honesty, but this situation is unique.

So I'm glad to escape to see your pictures!! I'm really looking forward to your next TR - since I was there then too!

I know - I can't believe we ran into each other twice. Well, actually 3, except we didn't know it. :rotfl2:

I need to get motivated and finish my March trip so I can get going on October after Christmas!!

You're almost there. You can do it, but I know how you feel. I am glad I've got this one wrapped up, although I'll miss it.

So here it is - My very last update for this TR.
The sad news is that you are wrapping up this fantastic TR. The good news is another one is right around the corner!

And speaking of DIS meets, I know for sure that I will see Bill (saints tickets) and his DW in October because our trips overlap during F&W. So can I get another Hip Hip Hooray! :yay:
Definately get one from me!! I am so looking forward to this! :thumbsup2

When I joined DVC one of my goals was to visit all of the DVC resorts at WDW and on the East Coast. Well, with my stay at BWV, I accomplished just that. That's right - I have stayed at SSR, Vero, Animal Kingdom, VWL, BLT, BCV, Hilton Head, OKW, the treehouse villas, and BWV, in that order. One of the things I love about DVC is the flexibility. And I love all the DVC resorts because they each have their unique character.
I agree 100% about the DVC resorts. We each have our own preferences and the differences in the DVC resorts insure you will find one that is just right for you. The same is true about the non-DVC Disney resorts. We only came to DVC in late 2009 and it is also our goal to stay at all the resorts. We have been to OKW, AKV, BWV, BLT, VWL, Aulani and will be at BCV next year. We haven't found one yet that we didn't like. Right now we are looking at a DVC point add on so we can have enough to make more trips. I sure hope the rumor isn't true about restricting future resale contracts to home resorts only.

I am sorry to be late in my condolences, but I am so sorry about your moms kitty. I have too many cats and some have been strays that we found as itty bitty kittens. I know my heart will break when we lose them.

I love the firework from the beach pics! Amazing view!!!

Your decal for your macbook pro is very nice

Love the photo recap. :thumbsup2 and your thoughts on your trip. It is cool that you had so many firsts. I think people don't often understand how that is possible. I know when I go, my friends/family say "again" and "Haven't you done all there is to do there?" I think a simple... "yes, and nope" has come to be my responses. Yet... I do understand a bit of what you are talking about when it comes to not being as into the touring of the parks... I still feel a bit guilty about that though. I feel like I should want to wake and spend the day there.... next trip is going to be different, so it will be interesting to see how I do with the non park side of things.

Thanks for sharing your trip! What a wonderful TR. Now I can't wait for the October one!!!

MEK I have been catching up since last night. Your Poly photos are great. Watching wishes from the Poly beach is on my Disney bucket list.

I am late in saying it but am sorry for your mom's loss. You're a good daughter to make that vet trip.

Your photo recap was a great follow up to a fun trip. You really had a long vacation. Nice!

Your photos of BWV really make me want to stay, thoughwe would have to skip the creepy clown pool.

I am looking forward to your & Cynthia's fall trip.

Nice wrap-up! :thumbsup2 I'm so glad that the trip turned out at as it well as it did, despite is inauspicious beginnings.

It is so cool that you've stayed at every DVC resort. Its funny but I was so bummed last April when I found out we were staying at SSR. Mostly because it seems like no one ever has anything good to say about it and yet, I thought it was just lovely! The tree houses really look like they are super cool.

And how exciting that you're going to go to Be Our Guest! I'd have jumped on that ADR, too. I'm hoping maybe Max and I will check it out for lunch in a couple weeks, but I'm not holding my breath, unless we're willing to get in line for lunch at 10:30 a.m.. :lmao:

I hear you on the crowds and heat in the summer. When I'm done with my Christmas trip, I will have gone to Disney in every season. Crowd-wise, the April trip was definitely the best. Our April break was way after Easter that year, so it was kind of an off time, I guess. October's weather is fantastic and I really loved Food and Wine, but I doubt I'll get to go back for quite some time. February is busy as anything, but the weather is a huge plus. I don't know...I kind of think they are benefits to every season. But you also aren't limited by school schedules, so...

I can't wait for you to start your F+W report!
