Hey Everyone, WHEW, what a week.............. it's been nuts busy over here..... hope all of you are doing good - I'm just about ready for Christmas...... lol - So, we're all set for Feb. - I can hardly wait!!! BUT, we decided on our dates for Oct!!! WHOOP WHOOP - so, who is going for F&W???? I'm SO excited, I LOVE DS, obviously, but, this is an ADULTS ONLY trip, just me and DH - YAY!!!! Our dates are Sept. 30 - Oct. 6th!!! ** Brandi - sending you a text - I wanna book NOW!!! Instead of waiting till our 7 month window and I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed your help!!!

Hello pleased to meet you wendypooh! Sounds like a great trip re F&W! We caught it this year by accident did not even know it existed omg brilliant! We are going 19th September - 3rd October so not sure if we will catch the F & B? Have to check what dates it is running.

Hi Sweetie - I'm in the same boat, busy busy - not been here too often lately - glad to hear Fran is doing better!!!

Hey Wendy! Provided that my world doesn't explode, our dates are totally overlapping!!!! We are going to be there from September 28 - October 6 or 7th. I can't completely guarantee that at this time, but it is likely.

Fran is doing OK, but had a set back this week. She didn't spend enough time with her leg elevated and her wound got a little bigger. She was down to one hole in her leg, and now she has a few more. I have to change the dressing tomorrow, so we'll see if it has gotten any better since she's been putting her leg up a little more.

Same here! I hire a scooter also. Dw is not disabled I am 41 and she 44 so she jogs along by my scooter keeps her fit! Omg re second floor room! Glad you got it sorted! I agree Disney is so accessible I wish I lived there how i would make my life better! I have ankylosing spondylitis, inflammatory bowel disease and iritis ( lucky me lol ) I am on remicade infusions at london university hospital every 6 weeks which is a help but no cure. Disney trips sure help! Hope you partner gets good meds.

You two are slightly younger than me, not too far behind, I think Fran would get upset if I said how old she is online.

They have been advertising that ankylosing spondylitis on the radio in the LA area, sounds very painful. Fran has been on every sort of infusion drug and tried remicade as well. I hope that it is working for you. I don't remember why it didn't work, things either stop working or they throw her liver readings off and she has to quit taking it. Right now she has Actemera which was just recently approved in the American Drug Market. When it was a study drug, she got it for free now it's incredibly expensive, but it's worth it.

Oh tendonitis painful poor you big hug! I was sat next to a lady receiving Actemera at my last infusion if it is tocilzumab or something like this? She was speaking highly of it. I have noticed that my liver readings are increasing so I hope that stabilises! Poor Fran I bet coming to Disney is great for you both. Do you do the cruise? We find that great also. We are on the dream this year sep 22nd for 4 nights then at SSR which is very accessible resort. May be are trying AKL! First time.

So just when I thought I was finished working for the year and could be in full vacation mode, I got a call this afternoon -- I'll be flying to a Base Saturday -- scheduled to fly home Wednesday morning (the day before we fly to WDW!!!!). I may be able to fly home Tuesday evening -- that would sure be nice!

Friday I will have to pack a work suitcase and a play suitcase!!

Oh that's right.. I knew Elin and Bob were heading to OBX.... I forgot.. I am getting old and forgetting things.

Sorry to hear you have to go back to work... Hope you get to come home on Tuesday...

Has a thread been started for dates for the next Oct or Nov gathering? I know we were tossing around dates and wasn't sure if we decided or not yet (I remember the first week we talked about might be tough.)

Hey everyone! What a day, ive been sick all day about the shooting, its been scary too, This happened less than 15 min from Jess and Mac, they are fine, but OMG, its just so tragic and senseless!!! I just want to hug my babies tight tonight! Anyone heard from Pilferk? This was close to them too, i think. I hope everyone is good and that we all have a good, healing weekend!

It is so awful I can't think about it too much. My patients had the news on all day and I still can't wrap my head around it.
