Spring 2013 Professional Internships

What type of role is he applying for? Example, production, animation, accounting/finance, marketing, etc...

This will play into the salary range :)

He is applying for a professional internship in Marketing. He's working on his MBA.

Its the LAST DAY!! Hoping for the best for everyone! For those that went to NLIC keep your heads up high and never give up trying! For those still in consideration fingers crossed!:goodvibes

I just accepted a Walt Disney World's Professional Internship for Spring 2013. I am going to be a Casting Employment Coordinator Associate, and I am was just wondering if anybody else accepted that position, too. I am also going to be living in the P.I. housing at Falcon Square, so any information about the apartment complex will be helpful.

Hey guys. So it's December 12, we were supposed to have our decision by now...but I'm still in the Interviewing Stage!! :confused3
I applied for an Merchandise Sourcing PI in IT (I'm a computer science major)
I got the interview within a few days of applying, did one interview (I think I nailed it), and it's been over 2 months since I've heard anything!

I'm literally checking my dashboard 5 times an hour, it's unhealthy! I emailed them about 3 weeks ago and all they said was basically "chill out, and wait"

It's getting nerve-wracking, especially since the decision deadline was supposed to be like 5 days ago

Anyone still sweating out there?

Well, I say that if they're taking so long to decide and we're still in consideration, that means we're really strong candidates, right? :D

LOL! i hope so! Have you heard anything yet?

Nope I'm still in the interviewing stage!!! I'm so confused. Would they really leave someone hanging without ever changing the dashboard? "Oops! We forgot to tell you that you were no longer in consideration months ago! Have a magical day!"
This is just cruel torture!

Yeah same I'm in the Interview Stage too. Lol and yeah that kind of happened to me last year, i waited until after the deadline to hear back a few days later that I was NLIC. But when I called the recruiter to see why I didn't get one he said that my interview was strong and basically was awesome (hah jk) that they put me in for my top choice, but I guess mine wasnt the strongest for those PIs. But idk, its just been way to long! 10 days ago plus the months of waiting!

Well, they can't take much longer. Christmas is right around the corner and some of us need to make living/transportation arrangements plus school registration and other possible outstanding job offers are kind of waiting on this decision.

Hopefully we get good news soon!

I know!! Exactly! They need to gives us enough time to figure all this out if we are seriously being considered! Ya and other possible offers are kind of on hold but I'm hoping for the best!

Anything yet? I called to check if the position has been filled and all they could tell was that my application was currently being reviewed.

Hello and Congratulations to all incoming PIs! :cheer2:

I am a 22 year-old Part-Time Student, Full-Time Cast Member at the Polynesian Resort. I am very out-going, easy-going, honest, and responsible. I am career-oriented, but also like to have fun.

I am looking for someone to rent out a room in my 3 bed, 2 bath house. (Preferably a female in similar age range) My roommate is trying to bail on her portion of the lease on short notice. As I mentioned, it is a 3 bed, 2 bath house with a 2-car garage and fenced yard. You would have your own bed and bath, since the third bedroom is used as a guest/storage room.

The house is located in a safe community very close to Disney. It's near lots of grocery stores and restaurants, located on Polynesian Isle Blvd, off of SR 535 and 192. The room is available ASAP. Rent is $450 plus split utilities. Security deposit and application fee does apply.

If this is something you may be interested in, please feel free to contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I just accepted a professional internship for Workforce Management Cast Deployment. I got offered in October, so I am surprised they have waited to long.

Hello all,

I applied for a horticulture internship for this coming summer and I was wondering if anyone out there could answer some questions about the fact that we have to provide our own transportation to and from the parks. I live in California an dont want to drive my truck across country.

1. What do you think the chances of being able to carpool with other people are
2. Has anyone researched a rental car option
3. Why isnt there a disney shuttle to and from the housing and the parks.

Any additional information about this topic would be very helpful.
Thank you

1. Slim to none, you have your own schedule and might have no hours or location in common with any roommates.

2. Most people who didn't bring their car were talking about leasing one, rentals seem like they would be extremely pricey.

3. There is no housing provided. You provide your own housing or you can possibly get one of the limited spots at the same place Disney houses the CP participants as long as it isn't a management internship. But you are still responsible for your own transportation. You pay a small fortune to stay in Disney housing and have to share a bedroom. There are much cheaper options at other places.
