Welcome to cattle encounters of the 4th diMOOnsion!

Thanks everyone. I may just stop multi quoting for a while I am needing to play catchup to a friend of mine. He is at 3,070 at this moment and well mine is where it is.

Work does come first lol and thanks I know I will pull through.

Is this a Disfriend or a nemesis?

Jetski, any news yet?

Sorry, I meant to respond earlier....

Well, I have an answer. I'm still not sure what to make of it though. I have three disks that showed up with a disk bulge but the worst of them is compressing on a nerve root. Basically a pinched nerve but with a very obvious cause. When he showed me the MRI picture, there was no doubt which one was causing the problem.

So at this point, my now somewhat humble doctor has referred me to a pain specialist and an Orthopedic (spelled Orthopaedic?) Surgeon for a second opinion. I'm sure there will be another round of PT and possibly injections before anything major, like surgery, is considered. But I will wait and see what the new doctor says. I'm going to hold off on the pain specialist until I see the surgeon and get her opinion.

On one hand, I'm so sorry to read this But on the other, at least they know why you're in pain and it sounds like you're going to seek the medical advice and the treatment you need.

Keep us updated, if you want to. :flower3:

I am glad to hear they know what is causing it. Lets hope the surgeon has some good answers to deal with it.

I'm glad you finally know the cause and can now start figuring out ways to get better!

Thanks everyone!! It is funny but I do feel a little better being able to actually see what is causing this. LOL - at least I'm not crazy....well, OK, I am a bit crazy at times, but you know what I mean. There is some relief to being able to see in print that there is an actual cause instead of me just sitting in the doctor's office claiming to be in pain, you know.

I do think the doctor is taking it more serious now, just by the way he talked to me at the appointment yesterday. And if I do have to do anther round of PT, at least I can take my paperwork in and she will know exactly what is going on too and how to approach it (it was all guesswork before).

Oh...and Good Morning everyone!!!!! :goodvibes

I hear ya. I was kinda sorta relieved when they found the polyp thing. I didn't want them to think I was a hypochondriac......

I agree... I am sorry you are having this problem and all this pain, but at least you know what is causing it and can work towards the relief.

What is that saying... Knowing is half the battle....

So just to catch everyone up on my Dad... He is finished with his three weeks of no mobility...

I think I told y'all he was in Arkansas when he feel but his home is I n Texas. They were in their motor home, on vacation. My step-mom has macular degeneration in her eyes and can't drive. So after my Dads surgery they were kinda stuck in Arkansas. I was going to fly out and drive them back to Texas but I had never driven one of those things and I think my dad was just a little worried. So my uncle, who also has a motor home, flew out to them and drove them back to Texas.

The following day my dad went to his dr. And the the two drs had already had many a conversation about the surgery already, but this was a follow up. My dad passed with flying colors and given to green light.

So not that is in mobility time period is up, he is now starting PT, the first day was not a good day, he was in a lot of pain and very mad when it was over.... He only has 5 more weeks of this.... :(

But over all the dr is happy with the outcome of the surgery and looking forward to great progress from my Dad.....
