Back2back cruise questions

I was wondering if anyone has ever done back to back cruises where you book the 2nd part of you DD on the 1st part of your cruise and get 10% off. I thought of the idea while really wanting to do a 7 day cruise on the Dream.

I don't think that's right. I know of people who have booked onboard for the following cruise. Of course, that depends on if there is availablility for the following week's cruise.

And I've read of people here who have booked a cruise only 2 days out.

Yes, that is what I'm asking. I was hoping I could book a 4-day and then book the 3-day on board. Great way to do CC twice.

Sorry, but this is not correct. The preliminary manifest is sent in 3 days ahead, the final is due only hours before departure. And since you are already on board, you've already been thru security screening.

I've been on at least 2 cruises where they made special offers to people to get them to stay on board for the next cruise, including rebooking air for those who did their air thru DCL. I was exceedingly jealous as it was an amazing offer...but life intervened.

I have personally booked a cruise on Thursday for a Saturday departure and have talked to someone who claims that she booked on Friday.

you know what.....not saying anyone is right or wrong but if i were you and wanted to know for sure i'd call dcl directly and ask the question. i know some will say the cm's don't always have the right info but i would call anyways. it might also be a question you could ask of dreams as they are dcl specialists. save your self some possible not right advice and go to the experts.

I guess i was wrong about booking a cruise well you were on baord for a few days ahead, however you most likely will not get the 10% off of the second cruise as that is for the deposit only and they will make you pay the cruise in full as it is so close to the sail date.

Ummm...the benefit of rebooking on board is 10% off the cruise fare portion of the ticket, an OBC based on length of cruise (7 nights or more = $200, fewer than 7 nights = $100), and that you pay only a 10% deposit.

If you book a cruise that is already within the penalty period, you are correct that you will lose the "benefit" of paying only a 10% deposit. However, you will still get the 10% off the cruise fare portion of the ticket + the OBC UNLESS DCL makes a special, better offer. In that case, you'll get only the better offer.
