Hello! Glad to meet you! I don't think that Buckinghamshire is too far from Essex but it depends where abouts Corinna lives? I would say about 60-70 miles?

Wow 8 days such fun! I bet you are in the not sleeping too excited state. Happy wednesday to you too! Are you staying in AKV in Kidani village?

We're not staying in AKV this trip (but we had a fabulous stay there in October! :cloud9:)

Our Christmas trip is a little more, shall we say "complicated" this time!! DH & I will be at the Dolphin the entire time (our DD19 will be staying in the room with us). We also have a BLT studio booked the first night; then BCV booked for the other 5 nights. DD28 & her SO will be staying in the DVC rooms! ;)

We wanted to be by Epcot & DHS this trip -- plus Dolphin had a great deal that I couldn't pass up: purchase 5 nights get the 6th free! :goodvibes

I booked BLT so we could get up to Top of the World Lounge the first night (after dinner at Narcoossees), but through the end of the year, any DVCer staying at any DVC property on points can access the Lounge! :woohoo:

We will visit Jambo for sure this trip (Boma :cloud9:)!

:wave2: Js & Ks! :sunny:

things are crazy here but I wanted to stop in and see how you all are doing. Looks like you are doing well!!!

We leave for the Outer Banks in 9 days. Can't wait to do NOTHING!!! :yay:

I leave in 9 days for Alabama, Christmas with the Kids!

Well I may have more this next year!

hint hint

Keep 'em ready for me!!! Right now I'd say I'll need some for the first week of November. I'll have to start working on our schedule! ;)

I'm sorry we won't get to see you, but Elin & Bob aren't joining us either. :sad1: They will be having a wonderful, relaxing Christmas holiday in the outer banks. :cloud9:

Have a wonderful Christmas in AL! :goodvibes

So just when I thought I was finished working for the year and could be in full vacation mode, I got a call this afternoon -- I'll be flying to a Base Saturday -- scheduled to fly home Wednesday morning (the day before we fly to WDW!!!!). I may be able to fly home Tuesday evening -- that would sure be nice!

Friday I will have to pack a work suitcase and a play suitcase!! :rotfl:

That sounds like a great trip you have planned. Glad to hear they are still doing access to the top of the world lounge. dW and I did not get a chance to see it in October but if they are still doing the any DVCer in May we will surely check that out. The crazy golf at the Dolphin or Swan cant remember was fun I recall. I bet you cant wait! We always visit Jambo also :-)

Cool! We are on the Dream 22nd September for 4 nights. Love that ship. We were booked for the 29th to catch my birthday on the 1st October but it turned into a dvc member cruise! We are at SSR for the other 10 nights of our stay but if we enjoy AKV in May might change some of our nights if there are any rooms left. Do you tend to fly VA?

We have not flown VA since January 2011. They are simply not competitive at the moment out of Manchester. We normally fly Delta via Atlanta, but on our most recent trip, we flew a combination of Lufthansa and United via Frankfurt. Hoping to be back to Delta for our May trip.

Happy Wednesday to you all!

The next 8 days will fly. Have fun.

Paula and I are about 177 miles apart as the crow flies. Depending on traffic, it would take about 4 hours to drive this.

Hello! Glad to meet you! I don't think that Buckinghamshire is too far from Essex but it depends where abouts Corinna lives? I would say about 60-70 miles?

When we left Essex, I moved to a live in position to a boarding school in a tiny village in Buckinghamshire called Swanbourne, which is roughly in the middle of a triangle formed by Buckingham, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes. In 2004, we moved from there to Beverley, East Yorkshire (near Hull) and since 2006, we have lived in Manchester, where we are hopefully going to stay.

I booked BLT so we could get up to Top of the World Lounge the first night (after dinner at Narcoossees), but through the end of the year, any DVCer staying at any DVC property on points can access the Lounge! :woohoo:

We made good use of this perk this time round. We went up to see the fireworks one night and then the next day we had some pre-MVMCP drinks there.

So just when I thought I was finished working for the year and could be in full vacation mode, I got a call this afternoon -- I'll be flying to a Base Saturday -- scheduled to fly home Wednesday morning (the day before we fly to WDW!!!!). I am sorry that there has been a last minute change in work schedule. I hope that everything works out smoothly.

Hi Corinna. Oh sorry I thought you were in Buckinghamshire my mistake! I just read actually that Delta bought 49% in VA that is pretty cool. Might add some more routes for you from Manchester.

I hope that they continue the top of the lounge perk for any DVCer staying on world. Any ideas how long it will last did they say when you were there?

Yes, I am pretty excited about this. I would still prefer doing the outbound flight via Atlanta as immigration is so much easier in Atlanta than in Orlando, but if we go to Orlando, I would not mind at all being put on the direct Orlando Manchester flight on the way back.

Officially the Top of the World Lounge perk will end some time at the end of December, but the cast member that we spoke to at the lounge was optimistic that this would be re-introduced early next year.
