Wookie : you made me smile!:). Actually the owner/manager/waiter were all the same person! :confused3. And yes we should give them some bad reviews on Yelp.

Thanks for reminding me why I should stay close to this thread....never to venture far away again!pixiedust:

**Takes out the duct tape and super glue and sticks ya here** Ok, I got ya stuck here. You don't have to worry about venturing away.

I've gotten to where I really don't venture outside of here anymore. I look at the food porn. Then I ready the January 2013 thread that I'm the OP of, so I can keep track of people's dates and resort, and then the June threads. I don't even go over to the "shuffle your iPod" thread every day like I used to.

From the DH:

I know you get everything you want. And I am not being selfish. I want a
few things under the tree for you. I have no big gifts I am going to get
you, I am being honest here. I got you Uggs, your vacations, and a
necklace.....so I am not asking for the world. We can talk, I wnant a small
budget...relax. I want to get you nothing but shake weights, nose hair
trimmers, and stompeez

He can never be serious....but he seriously makes me laugh... :rotfl2:

I love your DH :rotfl: Sounds like "life" spent your raise...but it's OK...all good keep your reservation Candace!!!

Good morning ladies!!

I hope y'all are having a good morning and you're warm. In the mornings, I always wait in the minivan with each of our DSs as they wait for the bus. The oldest DS is supposed to be picked up at 7:40 and the youngest 8:30. As we walked out the door, I usually slip on a pair of flip flops. That was a bad idea this morning since it was 17F when the oldest and I had to wait for his 7:40 bus.

ok, small rant here that has me so ticked off I'm going to take blood pressure meds and take a nap already......

My sister in laws birthday is on Sunday. We have never done anything for her birthday b/c she's always lived in West Texas, 6 hours away from us. Well they live in our area now and she's turning 40 on Sunday. My hubby and I decided to do something special for her birthday on Sunday. I learned to make spaghetti sauce from a woman I used to work with that lived in Italy until she was in her 20's. My homemade lasagna is extremely loved in both our families, but his sister has never had it (mainly b/c of her living so far away). Well I told her for her birthday that I would make it. Then we were going to get her a special cake, that I was supposed to have ordered today. Normally, we just get bday cakes from Wal Mart, the grocery store, Carvel (if it's a fudgie), or maybe Costco. This cake was going to be from a decorator that I have bought cakes for my sis and mom before. It was going to be a two tier cake in the shape of square hat boxes. They were going to be black and white damask with a pink ribbon. Then the top box, the lid would be slightly open with pink roses peaking out. Last night I heard my fil on the phone. He has a sister that lives in the area and her birthday is on 12/21 (or maybe it's 12/20). Anyway, he invited her to come over Sunday so we can celebrate her and the sil birthdays together, or at least that's what I though I heard. When my DH came to bed early, he said his dad was yelling at his mom b/c she was trying to explain to him that Sunday was supposed to have been all about Coby (my sil). I asked the mil this morning, and sure enough, the fil did invite his sister to do both their birthdays on Sunday. I know this is the fil's house, but we are here b/c they ask us to be. It wasn't the fil or even the mil's idea to do the birthday thing on Sunday....it was mine. We are paying for the ingredients to make the lasagna, I am making it, and we were going to buy the cake. The fil had nothing to do with this at all, except it was happening at his house, b/c again they ask us to stay here and not move out. When the mil told me we were doing the fil's sis' bday as well on Sunday, I told her I was not going to get that cake anymore b/c it was no longer something special for the sil and they could get the cake themselves. I don't even want to make the lasagna any more. Honestly, I'm so ticked, I'm thinking of not going to WDW. Until we go to WDW, I am only taking 1 class every 8 weeks (2 total for the semester). If I do take 2 in an 8 week period, it's so I can have the other 8 weeks of the semester off to go to WDW. Once we take this next trip to WDW, I am going to take 2 classes. I am seriously thinking about starting to take 2 classes every 8 weeks (4 total for the semester) this next semester, so I can hurry up and get school over with. Then once I get a job, we'll save up a couple of months, and then move out. Whether the inlaws think they still need me for health reasons or not, I need to move away from them.

Happy Tuesday friends :grouphug:

So I have been neglecting the Dis and I am sorry...between work, holidays...work...:rolleyes:

Yesterday over wine and beer...Ok the kiddos had cocoa :goodvibes I told me DH that I spent the entire day figuring out a January trip (he had 40hrs of vacation to be used by Jan 31st) Then I suggested March..we could do F&G and still get a discount...then April and May were brought up...and I could save $$ I would switch to a value or mod. The switch would replace our current end of August trip...but we would still go to the Beach in August...giving us 2 trips!!! :cheer2:

I even called CRO to get some prices and availability..I was looking at CSR, all that was available was "Business Class" with the AP rate. Well that'll work...a lounge with snacks, close to the main building....I like it....

Then my MODphobia sets in....but the pool is neat...and the price is right $141 per room...and I go pick the kids up...now my neighbor just returned from CSR for Pop Warner...her take...

"Old worn rooms, huge resort, and the CMs were not magical like at Port Orleans" She stayed Riverside with FD 2 years ago or so....so CSR got thrown off the table...

I decided Pop or AoA maybe Swolphin with the Nurse Rate....here is DH's reply more of less....(the voices in my head will be in brackets ;))

You have the kids all set for YC, and I know you got the snack room {ugh, he overheard me taking about the CL offerings I bet}

You have a great vacation and a great price, leave it be {yeah, yeah...I know}

May is not hot enough to swim {where the heck was he last May I remember being pretty hot}

I don't want Brandon missing that much school {Good point}

I am not interested in saving money, I like the trip you've planned {who are you, and what have you done with my husband~oh right..4 beers}

Then he mentioned being so sick of going to the castle and feeling like we just left...so he did bring up this will feel like a different trip...and we can swim and play, campfire on the beach, and do a water park day...

And then it hit me.....I just am being impatient, we DO have a great trip planned! 2 weeks of paradise one on the Gulf one on Crescent Lake!

Without being a complete jinx....I don't want to change...even with a great discount...what could I get that is better than what I have??? I really wanted to try BLT, but having a snack room will ease the pain :flower3: As much as I don't love the YC lounge, the CMs were really nice, and I think they will keep the kiddos very happy :beach:

So for now...I will let padawans and Candace make some changes ;)

And sheila How was your trip?????:bitelip:

Good for you!!!

No changes for me either! I am just going to make BC work, because I deserve the vacation that I want...so darn it, it will work!!! It's not like I'm putting us in debt over it...I just have to reconfigure our budget a little bit. (as DH so kindly pointed out)

And...our washer repair was only $325...I mean, still a good chunk of change, but less than I was expecting....::yes::

Is anyone else playing the board game thingy to win a "sample" three year membership to DVC? If you are, how do you know how many times you've entered? My DH got an email about it, and he's been playing. Then I started playing using my email address. Neither one of us can remember how many times we've played though. I just hope it doesn't let you play more than 10 times.

I am sorry you are feeling frustrated. It sounds like a situation that would have me irritated too. Maybe fast tracking your courses is a good idea, then you could move forward with other areas too. :flower3:

Hello ladies! :goodvibes

So happy that our Sarah is back home. Thinking of you! :hug:

Wookie: Blah. Inconsiderate of him to do. I'd be ticked too.

Candace: Yes, YES! Keep the BC ressie. You DO deserve it and you're going to have a wonderful time... AND you've got your raise! :worship: I really hope you get your Stompeez for Christmas. :lmao:

Jeanette: And you too, keep YC!

Well, those are my votes anyway. :rotfl:

Jen: Did you swap to BC yet or were you waiting for the discount first?

Melissa: Did you ever get through to change your ressie? Did you ever make it home from Whole Foods? :laughing:

------------------------

Nothing interesting to report here... I wish there was! Haven't even been to Target lately. :eek:

Hello ladies!

I'm so far behind! Let's see how this goes.

Mousemommy - Congrats on raise! :cool1::cool1::cool1: And congrats on keeping BC (for now:rotfl:) I literally laughed out loud at your DH's text. You have an amazing man there! :thumbsup2

pixarmom - I saw that you are sticking with BWI. I'm sure it will still be fantastic. Sending some pixie dust that maybe they change their minds and decide to open up use of SAB during the rehab. pixiedust:

wookie - I'm sorry things are rough with living with your IL's. It seems like even on the best of terms it can be a bit too much living with them. :hug: I hope you can figure out if you are going in June or December. I loved both so you can't really go wrong. :woohoo:

jenny - How unfortunate to have such poor service at your get together. What is wrong with people? And that other thread? Just ignore. I too stay close to home. I'm not thick skinned enough to handle many of the people on this board. :faint:

I hope you get your discount soon. I got that Disney Destinations email too. I am already booked and plan on using a BB for a summer trip(if I go) I still got all excited when I first saw it :hyper: Pavlov's response I guess. :laughing:

pas - Sticking with the beach/YC CL combo :thumbsup2 Sounds amazing to me! ::yes::

miss - No Target? Are you feeling ok? :rotfl2: Starting to pack yet? We're getting close! :banana::banana::banana:

Thanks everybody for the well wishes for DD. She was a little off most of the day yesterday, but she is back today. Her favorite thing to wear is her black and white velvet dress with her pink goggles :confused3 When she brought them to me today to put on I knew she was going to be just fine. :laughing:

Thanks y'all :grouphug: It can get really bad around here. The bil, that works for the fil, got in an argument with the fil one afternoon. The one thing you don't do around here, especially when the fil is in a foul mood is disagree with him. Well the yelling turned into more than about work, then that turned into my bil getting physical when the fil. Which ended with the fil with a broken pinky finger and re-injuring his back that he had surgery on twice a few months earlier. I usually have dtuneslive on while doing school work so I don't have to hear the fil. Even if he's not yelling b/c he's mad, it's b/c the mil is working in the office and he's either at the kitchen table or watching tv in the living room and doesn't want to move to talk to her. I've been hearing a lot of yelling this morning from him. I just hope it's not my DH he's ticked at and it's another employee. Then the fil has the nerve to ask my DH why I stay in our room so much. I come out enough to do laundry, dishes, cook, and then if they need me to do any other cleaning. Other than that I am in my room, sitting on my bed with my laptop. The fil thinks it's b/c I don't "love him anymore" and don't want to be around him. Ummm yeah, some days he's like a keg of black powder with the fuse lit and we have no clue what will set him off, so yes I stay away from him as much as I can. I'm really thinking now December is the time to go. This will give us more time to save up for the trip, while I'm taking as many classes as I can. A 3 - 4 day trip will give me something to look forward to. Kind of like a life-line for my sanity, so I don't end up like this :crazy2: For now, I think a nice long uber hot shower to help the headache is in order. Then back to knitting. I am working on my hat. The ribbed part is green and I am now on my 2nd addition of another color. Changing colors on a hat has been way easier than I thought it would be. Hmmm, maybe this will mean that if we go in December, I'll have time to make a 2nd hat, but this one will green MH's in the stripe part. If I can figure that out, I'm going to make a black, white, and red set for a friend that has a Disney blog.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes for DD. She was a little off most of the day yesterday, but she is back today. Her favorite thing to wear is her black and white velvet dress with her pink goggles :confused3 When she brought them to me today to put on I knew she was going to be just fine. :laughing:

I'm so glad she is feeling better!! :dance3::banana::dancer::banana::dance3:...
Heck, I'll bring the whole bunch out to celebrate
party::jumping1::rainbow:
The thought of a little girl in a black and white dress with pink goggles on put a smile on my face. I bet she would look even more adorable if she had pink rain boots on.

Awww. I'm sorry for forgetting this in my post above! Bad Miss, bad. :sad2: Give her a hug from us... :grouphug: Glad she's doing fine -- we got lots of tough kiddos in this group. :goodvibes It seems whenever they can pick out favourite outfits and/or terrorize the pets, all's on the mend. :laughing:

Have you started your packing already?! :faint: I only just mentioned to hubs that it should be easy to pack for this trip since we won't be bringing the stroller. But then I remembered the jackets. Wondering if it'll be warm enough for swimming? :scratchin If you see anyone walking around SAB while people around her fall down whilst shielding their eyes from the sheer pain that's just been inflicted upon them; that'd be me blinding people with ghostly-white skin. :rolleyes:

Wookie: Oh my. I'd be in my room, too. :sad2: Not a pleasant situation at all. :hug:

I totally agree with your opinion.

I found this knitting t-shirt that says, "I knit so I don't kill people". I tell my DH all the time that, "I knit and plan Disney World trips so I don't kill people."

On the upside, at least now I know that my DH agrees with me that no matter how much his parent's think they still need me, when I am finished with my computer programming degree and get a job with it, we're outta here.
