Has anyone heard anything else about it? I have been faithfully checking the Limited Time Magic site daily and no updates! I am going in January 2013 and would love to know what's in store!

I would like to know more as well. I don't know how I feel about this promotion though - if they just reveal the special magic the week it is happening, I think that could be irritating. I think I would be inclinded to book a trip for a specific type of event! I look forward to learning more though!

I was thinking. Lol in the case it is going to be something different each week. I believe that Florida residents ( or California ) being annual passholders would really benifit from this. I am one and that is the only thing I'm coming up with that would really make sense. I think the concept is OK but not really loving it. Unless they are going to release a sort of calendar. I'm not really sure what to think.

Agreed. Unless a calendar is released, those of us who aren't locals or AP holders will most likely only experience the Limited Time Magic events that happen to be there when we schedule our trips.

I mean, it is exciting to know that there will be something different going on but having it be a surprise. On the other hand, I am surprised that Disney wouldn't release a more comprehensive event schedule to truly exploit the concept and give people the chance to book a trip for events they may want to experience.
popcorn:: Guess we wait and see..

I'm guessing there will be more information during the Christmas Parade. I'm not sure how to feel about this theme because it doesn't really benefit the one time a year (or once in a lifetime) folks unless you happen to have your trip planned over an awesome week.

Subscribing because I really want to know when the Pirates week is........C'mon Disney we need a calendar asap!!!!

Seriously! I mean I understand wanting to keep it somewhat spontaneous but there's been no new information after the initial announcement. All the limited time magic website says is events start January 2013, check back often for more information but I haven't seen anything updated at all!

I think planned right it would cause people to book extra trips to Disney. Honestly I would consider booking another trip for Pirate week no matter when it is. However, I can not book it if they announce it the week of. If we have to book dining 180 days out they need to reveal the calendar at least 180 days.

I'm pretty surprised at the lack of speculation/rumors/information surrounding this promotion.

I'm surprised too - there hasn't been much talk about it probably with all the hype over New Fantasyland opening. But it would be nice to know what each of the weeks are.

We might be changing our dates a little and it would be nice to know what the weeks are going to be.

I am very disappointed at the lack of information with this promotion. It's less than a month away and they have basically given us nothing more than "See ya real soon."

This is a good point. December has been a big month for other things at WDW which I suppose overshadowed next years theme.

I don't think they're planning on announcing a whole lot, though. Isn't supposed to be along the lines of a surprise each week? :confused3

I feel they will release more information at the beginning of the year for this promotion. It is just a matter of time. As a business, they want the public to be curious about their promotion. There is still plenty of time it is not even Jan 1st yet. ;)

:goodvibes

You're right but I was thinking (perhaps hoping? :rotfl: ) they would release more information somewhat ahead of time!

Maybe I'm just impatient though!

This is true, everyone makes good points about how this is a matter of my impatience to find out :rotfl2:

We leave for our trip January 3rd so I guess I just want to know NOW what's going to be there lol

As I reared the press release it is described as "52 weeks of magical experiences big and small that appear, then disappear as the next special surprise debuts." Emphasis added by me. The fact they refer to it as a surprise makes me think that the schedule may only be available as it happens.

Not the best way to drum up visits imho. It's not like I will be able to say, "Hey, just saw on Dis that the Horseshoe is running this week! Let's go to Disney!"

I agree. It's hard to get excited about something this vague! I can see it leading to disappointment as well.

Considering the "limited time magic events" that have been announced =
barber shop quartet singing boy bands?
I am not thinking there is going to be that much to be excited about. If horshoe actually has the old show, it would be awesome, but how the heck would they do reservations prior to announcing that> Would it be first come? Can you imagine that line?
