Dress code 4night dream cruise

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered many times but I'm going to ask it again :) we have a group if six adults going on the dream for a 4 night cruise then a stay at disney after. What is the general dress code aboard ship do they have formal nights that are enforced? I have only ever been on a Norwegian cruise but that's freestyle cruising no rules. Any info would be great

For most people on the cruise a shirt with buttons would be formal :) Only a small percentage wear formal on those nights and it is mostly to get pictures taken. This being Disney the only thing they tend to enforce is safety and cleanliness regulations.

From what I remembered : Day 1 cruise casual, Day 2 dress up night (semi formal), Day 3 pirate night and Day 4 cruise casual. If you are dining at palo for dinner usually semi formal or formal.

And the dress up night is actually called "dress up optional", so you'll still see people in just their cruise casual outfits.

:cutie:

Thanks for the great info. I am the one in charge of almost everything with this trip and I know if I get a question from the group I can't answer you all can help me out

Dining Dress requirements vary by venue or theme night on your cruise. In general, most meals are "Cruise Casual"—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops. Most cruises also have special theme nights with additional attire requirements. Here's a breakdown of these events by cruise itinerary.

On 3-night cruises:

One cruise casual night—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
One "dress-up night"—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women

On 4-night cruises:

First night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
One "dress-up night"—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women
Final night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops

On 7-night cruises:

First night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
Three additional "cruise casual" nights—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
One formal and one semi-formal night—formal wear for men: tuxedo or suit; for women: gown or dress; semi-formal wear for men: suit/jacket; for women: dress or pantsuit.
Dress code at Palo on all cruises:

Men: dress pants and shirt or jacket
Women: dress or pantsuit
Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip-flops or tennis shoes
Dress code at Remy on all cruises:

A tuxedo or jacket (sports or suit jacket) is required with dress pants for men. Ties are optional.
A cocktail dress, pant suit or skirt/blouse is required for women.
Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

I posted asking for recent Navigators for the 4 night Dream to the Bahamas and they had this listed:
Day 1-cruise casual
Day 2-optional dress up
Day 3-pirate/cruise casual
Day 4-cruise casual

I just returned Thursday from a 4 night dream cruise (and coming back to reality is miserable!!) I worried about what to take and realized once I was there that NOONE pays attention to what anyone is wearing at dinner. The restaurants are crowded (not in a bad way at all, dinner was one of the highlights of the trip for my group, wonderful in everyway) but you walk in, sit down at your table and are engrossed with your servers an the food and you don't notice anything else! Take what you will be comfortable in, I recommend nice tops and capris, and just enjoy. They do take pictures at dinner, so think about that when making your choices. I'll take lots less next time.

I wear nicer sundresses and a lil black dress. Hubby wheres dress pants and a nice shirts

On a 4 night, you'll have 2 nights cruise casual, on night "Pirate or cruise casual" and one night "Dress up optional."

That means you can wear cruise casual every night and be fine.

Only the adult restaurants have enforced dress codes.

I also usually just wear sundresses. Kids can wear khaki orders shirts. Hoping to pack light!
