Anyone win with the JCPenney button code?

I bought some items at Penneys on Sunday, but was not given a button I didn't even know about the promo 'till I saw this thread. Were the buttons only given out on BF or something? I'm bummed...if I went back I really have no way of prooving I did not receive a button, but I bought over $60 of stuff so I fell kinda cheated in a way, lol.

Same here. I feel rather cheated. Bought $90 worth of stuff, no button handed to me, nothing in the bag. Seems this promo is hit and miss.

Be sure to ask, I have seen many folks not given buttons in line in front of me.

Wow, that's disappointing (to know it's happening with such frequency)! I don't know that I plan on returning for a button. It's the principle of the matter -- they should be running the promo across the board, for everyone, or not run it at all.

penneys told DH that he could combine certificates to spend.

I thought we had to spend them separately.

Anyone combine yours to spend?

I am so going to try this. We had several winners yesterday and combining would help get another of my 14 year old's gift. My youngest had gotten a few pairs of sleep pants for free out of this deal and she loves the sleep pants.

I used a $10 and a $5 together. We were going to do two separate transactions, but the lady said to do it at once.

I've scanned coupons from my iphone without a problem, but the guy could NOT get the scanner to read from the Galaxy SIII. It was like there's some sort of glare protection on the screen and the little red scan line wouldn't show up on the screen.
So I had to write the number down and he typed it in.

Right now, I think I'm up to $40 in certificates. Last night I got a TON of pins, like over twenty. So that'll keep me going for a few more days. But last night was dissappointing, 8 codes entered and none were a winner.

Yesterday I entered 12 buttons and 8 of them were winners. I got 5 $10's, 2 $5's and my first $5 Starbucks giftcard!!

I dropped $110 using e-certificates today. Bought many a Christmas gift and only paid $2 out of pocket.

Got some more buttons when I was there. Today was not so good. All 5 buttons I entered were losers. So, I am saving the other 10 I got for some other day when it is set a little "looser".

I have a question about entering 12 buttons. Are you doing them all on separate accounts? I have only been doing 2 a day on my email account and 2 a day on my DH's account.

We have won quite a few times. I won a $50 one an at least 8 $10 and 4 $5. I have only used 5 of the $10 so far (all on different transactions).

We didn't need to make a purchase to get a button. We did make some purchases, but we were also given some buttons at other registers.

No. The rules state that you do not have to make a purchase in order to receive a button. That being said, some cashiers will insist that you must make a purchase. Every cashier is different. I have had some cashiers give me a handful of buttons and some only give me one. You can go to every check-out and get buttons from each one. Don't forget to check the beauty salon and the Sephora shop if you have one in your store. They also have the buttons.

My BF and I each entered 6 buttons on separate email accounts. We both have personal, work and then email we use for spam. The rules say: Limit two (2) plays per day per person/authorized e-mail account holder. Nothing says per person/per day so we figure if we have the extra email accounts we might as well use them.

Has anyone in Illinois been successful in combining certificates? Three JCPs in my area are telling me they cannot be combined.

From my testing, it looks like, if your button code has a number in it, it does not work. If it has all letters, it should work. Hopefully they will fix this soon.

I don't think that is correct. The majority of the buttons my BF and I have received, have a combination of letters WITH numbers and we have won over $200 in e-certificates and gift cards!!

Today is set really tight. We entered 11 buttons and not one single winner! I am going to wait a few days to enter my last 6.

I agree about the codes having letters and numbers...all of mine do.

But disagree about the "tightness"..I don't beleive they are adjusting it. Just the luck (or unluck) of the codes you happen to get. I entered 4 yesterday and no winners. I entered 4 today and 3 were winners.

That is strange. I just checked the ones I used today and they were a combo of letters and numbers. I wonder what is up with that.

Make sure that you do not have the dreaded "m". I had a button like that, but it turned out the "m" was really an "r and n"!

I believe it is good through Monday. I wish they had their kitchen aid mixers on sale - I would use the 20% off and the $50 I won to get one!

It is good thru today. Just an FYI....the 20% F&F is NOT combinable with any button coupons.
