Dream vs Fantasy-what are the differences?

We were on the Dream this past summer and are now booked for the Fantasy 7 night cruise in summer 2014. What are the differences in the ships and anything special for dinners or anything that happens on the ships??

Decor is different, both are beautiful. The nightclub area is very different in set up. The adult only areas are improved on the Fantasy, especially Satellite falls. Fantasy also has Bippity boppity Boutique. Animators Palate has animation night on Fantasy, not on Dream.

The differences between the 2 ships aren't huge, but I think they make a lot of sense, especially on the longer Fantasy cruises.

If all four ships offered the same itinerary, same prices my preference order would be:
1 - Fantasy
2 - Wonder
3 - Dream
4 - Magic

This is just my opinion, everyone has their favorites, these are mine. No matter what ship I'm on - I'm happy!

Fantasy also has the brilliant 'show' in Animators Palette, exclusive to this ship. I'm hoping that the Dream gets this too on her first refit!!

My order would be: Magic, Fantasy, Dream, Wonder, but really, like the member above, I'm happy just to be onboard!!!

dont they have something like a captains dinner or something like that? how does that work? and a formal night? i know we only had semi-formal nights, and didnt they have or used to have a character breakfast?

Yes, there is a Captain's Gala (usually the first sea day) which is formal night. There is also a semi-formal night (usually the last sea day; lobster night). There is one other special menu, the three rotational menus and pirate night. Fantasy does not have character breakfasts. The dining rooms are too big and tables too close together to allow for that. The longer (w/3 sea days) on the classic ships still have character breakfasts.
