The Weekend Grind ~ 12/8- 12/9/12

Boy is it early for a Saturday!!

However, DS16 has ACT testing today and I wanted him awake and having breakfast before he left..

Today:

Double ck DS16 has pencils, calculator, water, small snack, erasers and test ticket/ID. Send lunch for him to eat before league ball evals.
DS16 shower/breakfast
Shuffle DS16 off to test
nap til 9:30 or 10AM
fold last 2 loads of laundry
once over house
DS16 to text when done w/ testing and arriving at eval site down the street
DS16 home by 3pm so we can depart
off to game downtown
dinner on the way or afterward
home to relax


Sunday

scrapping day ~~ Didn't happen; game was at 2pm so I had to cheer!!!
I need to verify time and channel to watch my alma mater play in the NCAA College Cup Championship finals... Let's go!!!!
Talk w/ DD she'll need a study break

I'm always an early riser sigh it's a rare day I sleep past 5:30-6....

Today
Tom off to pick up an auger (dad's christmas present to them)
hang out for a while should do some laundry
leave for work we have our christmas bazaar today and the boys and I are waitstaffing for lunch. Change of pace i'm on the other side of the counter today.
home a bit after 1
more laundry
boys to do dishwasher flip
then off to work with their aunt or grandmother
clean living room to prep for tree invasion

Sunday
Tree invasion 18-20' takes all day.

It's the weekend - I'm fairly free since DH is working today. They went back on 12 hour shifts (really 14 but only gets paid for 12!) on Tuesday which should change next week. I will be so glad when these power uprates at the plant are done!!! Unless he takes vacation time, we do absolutely nothing together for DH only gets Sunday off and he parks himself on the couch for the day cause he's too tired to do anything - can't blame him for that! Other than the last two weeks of September and all of October, he has been working 6 days a week, 10-14 hours a day, since January 30! He did get four days off for Thanksgiving but will be working Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day - geez, I saw him more when he was still in the Navy, hahaha! Okay - I'm done ranting!

Sooooo, lots of scrap time for me this weekend, will finish up our Christmas cards and bake some cookies for DH and his troops..

hmmmm you didn't happen to get Crystal Palace on Friday June 7 for breakfast did you??

No! Drats!! We just guessed on our park days last night off wdweasy's recommends as best we could. My 180 mark crept up on me. We are going to Chef Mickey's for breakfast that morning!!! We didn't go there our last trip and the kids were so disappointed, something fun about swinging your napkin in the air that is so exciting ? They really like Chef Mickey's. We don't have park hopper this trip or we would swing by MK since it is right next to MK. I do really want to meet up briefly if possible if we are ever in the same place.

Our plans as of now: Arrive early afternoon after the cruise on the 6th. Check in, swim at the resort (A of A) while we wait on our room. Then Thursday evening we are heading to MK (tradition to start every evening at MK to do the night time parade and fireworks) and we have BOG reservations that night at 4:45. The 7th we have breakfast at Chef Mickeys at 9:10 and then we plan on going to Animal Kingdom that day. That evening we talked about doing the Chip and Dale camp fire sing-a-long/outdoor movie at Fort Wilderness at about 7:00 because we have never done that before. Since it is free and sounds fun, we thought we might try it. The 8th I believe you are leaving. We have 8:05 breakfast reservations at CRT for the first time. Then we are spending the day at MK. Any chance we are overlapping you anywhere with our tenative plan? We might be able to switch things up a little We are leaving on the evening of the 11th.

Thursday we don't have plans for yet - maybe AK moring then Epcot night - depends on what Sister's boys want to do - which park they want to revisit - wondering if I could talk DH into visiting your hotel - could be fun photo shoot
Friday is our last day so I figured a MK all day
Saturday we are loading the car & leaving from the hotel

Reddy all I'll tell you now is we cheat and I have a really tall husband. Although Levi is now taller we may transfer the star topping to him...... I will post pics but let me tell you I have a VERY hard time getting the whole tree in the picture.

Just got in. As usual everyone loved the boys waiting on them, some people even left them a tip I'm tired and my foot is killing me. Damn plater faciatis (sp) is acting up again.

boys are at moms and so I'm going to just relax for a few then do some laundry.

dinner is corn chowder and sandwiches left from lunch.

OH! Let me know! If you come during the afternoon, we will be there for sure. The kids are dying to swim in the "big blue pool" to hear the underwater music. Of course, we have a long time to plan this

Work on gift for mother marshmallow. He's a really great guy. His wife passed over the summer from cancer, and now he's raising his 12 to DD. Been wracking my brain. But I'm just doing a tumbler with mm on them-happen to be his initials too. filled with altoids ( I've seen him with them a few times) he gave out goody bags to the bon bons last night that said "love mama" Haha so cute!
Check list once again for trip.

Maybe some 5x7 color pages for waiting times. Have 8x11 too. Need something more portable.
