I read a post somewhere about getting a roll away bed in a studio at OKW. Is this possible, my DD would love to bring a friend.

No, DVC units do not allow cots and that is over the limit for the room. Sorry

A fifth occupant is allowed as long as they are two years old and using the provided pack-n-play crib. Studio occupancy is 4 plus a child under the age of three.

Cots and rollaways are not provided at OKW.

All 1BR villas at OKW have the sleeper chair, so 5 adults (plus a child under 3) are allowed in 1, 2 and 3BR villas.

As noted, no roll aways at DVC and that's all the resorts and that includes the mixed use resorts that have them for the hotel side. They did allow them very early on at BWV but stopped quickly.

We booked 9 in 2 bedroom last year at BCV. They told us we would have to bring our own bedding for the 9th guest. Since we were driving it wasn't an issue. Do they allow 5 in a 1 bedroom?

Yes. Except for the Values at AKV Jambo House, MS will allow 5 in a 1 bedroom. For the 1-bedrooms that don't officially sleep 5, they will not provide bedding for the 5th guest if they are not a baby sleeping the in pack-n-play.

As noted, they will allow 5 in a 1 BR but it's 5 only (no infant also) except for those that officially sleep 5 where it's 5 plus one infant under 3.

We are staying at BWV in a 1 bdrm with 5 of us. We have to provide bedding for our 14 yr old. He' d rather sleep on the aero bed anyway lol

About 5 or 6 years ago they allowed you to book 5 in a BWV studio (They consider that little bench with a cushion a daybed I believe). I booked that for my DH's sister's family of five (the youngest was 5 at the time).

I don't know if it is still allowed, but that resort was the only one that would let you book 5 in a studio.

There was a time when they allowed 5 in a studio routinely, I think this ended around 2001. What you're referring to are the dedicated studios at BWV with a day bed. At one time this was a separate booking category so it was possible to allow the extra person. Now those rooms are not a separate category, only a request, so no way to know if you'd get it or not and therefore, no way to target them for 5 people.

Here it says that a 5th person needs to be 5 foot or less to fit on the daybed:

http://allears.net/acc/faq_bwv.htm

Studio with Daybed: Includes everything in the Studio room plus a five-foot daybed. Per Disney, this Studio with Daybed will accommodate "four adults maximum, plus one child who will fit in the daybed, plus one child under the age of three in a crib".

But they didn't ask or look at my nephew.

Oh and we booked this studio for 5 in a standard view but they I think they have them in the other views also.

It was after 2001 that we did this. I think it was 2006. And they did say they could not promise there would be a daybed in the room, but they still let us book 5 in the room. We just had them bring a sleeping bad and he was going to sleep on the floor if there was no daybed (but the room did end up having one so he slept on it in his sleeping bag).

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to call and ask. I don't think you could book this online, but if you call and ask maybe they will still let you.

Generally not since they dropped the dedicated vs L/O as a booking category but Disney is nothing if not inconsistent
