We will be in MK for lunch Saturday and then entering a little early for the party Sunday evening. Which time would be best to try BOG?

Saturday's lunch will have to be somewhat early because we have 6 p.m. reservations at HS.

Thank you!!

From now until.. well... a long time from now... Getting there prior to lunch being served will be the time to go. The newness won't wear off for a while, and lunch stops serving at 2 (or the line closes at 2.. not sure yet). People will be going to see the restaurant, especially if they don't have a dinner reservation. We plan on being there as early as we can when we go next week in order to check it out. People will end up lingering in the restaurant a while because they will want to look at everything.

The reports I'm hearing say that the line to get into the restaurant moves, but it can take up to 30 min just to get to a table when the line is long. So, even if the line is long before the restaurant opens, you'll be more inclined to get to a table quickly once you order (which seems to be the longest part.. getting to order).

Can't be any worse than the Commissary at HS! And at BOG you are entertained through the line, if nothing else than by the decor.

Looks like we'll try to get there just before 11 tomorrow. Didn't realize FLE was opening this weekend when we began planning this, but I can't complain. I'll brave a few crowds to see BOG and Ariel as a mermaid.

Thank you!

You are right about the Commissary!

We will fight the crowd to eat at BOG too. Luckily, we have fastpass+ for Ariel, in case its too crazy while we're there. We've seen it a few times in Disneyland, so its not that new to us.. just different doing it at WDW!!

This was not our experience on Sunday, on both counts.

First one: we went early to try to beat the crowd, but everyone seems to have gotten that memo. When we came out of lunch at 12:45, the line was about a third to a quarter what it had been when we went in.

Second one: there were many tables available. Because nobody can go in and save seats, the restaurant handles the flow from the cash registers easily. We could have eaten in any of the three rooms (party of 5).

It is correct that the line is rather slow, but once you order, you can go sit down.

Hmmmm... well that changes my plans!

Now I'm at a loss...

I hear ya! We thought we were really on the ball going for opening and were surprised to see the huge line. Maybe more WDW travelers are getting savvy. I hope not, because all the people who don't do any research are the ones that make my research work!! :)
