Hmmm... so hopefully there IS hope! Odd his website had that posted about no DCL events in 2012. I didn't know if he traveled as a guest and people just saw him, or he was an 'official' entertainment doing events onboard. We had so hoped to have him on WBTA 2011, but didn't. Maybe there is hope

The DCL email reply I posted certainly didn't give any hints of having anyone at this time.

weeeelllll - Ducky often does what he wants! He wasn't supposed to be "working" on the Hawaii, but he made arrangements with DCL without publishing it anywhere - one could book a private session with him (I did!) and he would draw any character for you while chatting. It was very pleasant and I was very happy with my Aloha Pooh Bear! I am still trying to get to the store to get it framed, but it will go on my wall of Ducky's for sure!

I do not recall if he was on the inaugural NYC cruises or not...I do not remember seeing him. He definately was on the Fantasy Maiden (as a guest, that I know for a fact) I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with him then as well.

Hawaii and Fantasy Maiden were BOTH in 2012...so Ducky is sailing...just not always listed.

He is such a wonderful, kind caring person. He really loves his fans and is always willing to chat for a moment...but if you do stop him to chat, keep it brief, he is usually in transit to somewhere else!

We'll soon see. Final payments are coming up, 12/18 for concierge and 1/18 for all other categories.

One of my favorite memories from my first seven night cruise is a ver pleasant half hour spent in the pool with Ducky. He just started chatting with me, and we had a wonderful time. Later that week I won one of his drawings.

Thank you very much! I've had a bad year work wise, bouncing from one bad job to the next, with things like managers leaving as soon as I have been hired, new processes etc etc so looking forward to starting what I really feel will be my real career. Time to grow up

Me, I'm off to London again this fine morning. Hopefully the last trip before Christmas. Gotta finish planning the ebta when I get back. At least we can get TO the cruise as we've got our Houston flight booked. That's the important bit, right?

I just shipped a package to the London area this afternoon, does that count? YES - getting TO Houston is the important part, and your hotel is booked, so all is done! Nobody wants to disembark the ship anyway. Heck, we have friends getting ON the ship on June 1... already planning a scheme to become stowaways... hehehehe.

Is anyone flying on Icelandic Air on June 8 from CDG to JFK? the flights we book have a layover of 7.5 hours in Iceland and we are looking at tour guides. If anyone else is flying on these flights and is interested in sharing the tour vehicle and costs - please PM me!

The tour we are looking at includes:
Golden Circle
tectonic plates
Geysir - Strokkur
Gullfoss - golden waterfall
Kerid - volcanic crater

for 600 USD and the vehicle will hold up to 4 people, we are only 2!

I'd be pretty concerned about committing to this tour with only 7.5 hours between flights. Your plane could arrive late into Reykjavik, and you'd need to return at least 90 minutes prior to your flight to go through security.
