Fantasy Western, April 12th, 2014
2 adults
2 children (ages 11 and 9)
Category 9A
$5396.60
no insurance/transfers

July 10, 2014
3 night Dream 11C (absolute cheapest stateroom)
1A with = $1521
2A (no disc) = $1642
3A1C(15) (no disc) = $2991

The first two people in the stateroom pay the adult price no matter what their ages are. The amounts you list don't add up. You are actually paying 1121.40 for 1 adult and 1 child and 718.20 for 1 child.
It looks okay...the $1121 is X 2 then $718 plus taxes=$3207

Just got confirmation of our booking from our travel agent :yay::

7 Night Eastern
5/31/14
Cat 5E
2A/2C (15 & 12)
$5601.58
W/OBB discount, no transfers or insurance

It is about what I expected to pay, plus it is for our 20th Wedding Anniversary! For these 7 night cruises it sure does help to have the 10% OBB discount and on-board $200 credit.

Our last 7 night was this same week in 2009 but it was a Western on the Magic. We paid $3600 for an Oceanview room on deck 2 (can't remember the category) but it was booked in late March 2009 (so only 2 months before) and I think it was kids sale for 1/2 (there was some promotion). We ended up upgrading at port to a 4A for $1,000. 5 years later, newer ship, better ports (in my opinion)...looks reasonable to me.

Sure it is more expensive than other cruise lines but for kids I don't think you can beat Disney. Both my DS & DD love the kids clubs. My DS is there every minute that he can be. My DD (who turns 14 in 3 weeks) was allowed in the Vibe and she loved it. She was out later than we were...1 am (2nd night), 2 am (3rd night) and 12:30 am (last night)!

We also priced out June 7th Western Caribbean on the Fantasy

2A
Cat: 8A
No discount/no insurance/no transfers
$4,120.64.

That is CRAZY expensive! (hence why we booked for May instead)

8A cabins are the best as long as we both don't want them for the same cruise!!! Congrats!

Thanks! We are really excited. We are looking forward to having TONS of space between the five of us. We actually chose this one over the May 10 sailing, solely because of availability of those connecting rooms.

My family & I had these exact same cabins on the Dream this past summer in June & wow, loved them so much!!! The space is awesome & we all loved the window seating gigantic 2 portholes! I like these cabins as much or better than a verandah now! So happy for you! I have one for the Fantasy in April 2014/Spring Break :)

I hate that we're bound by the school calendar and the higher rates. This will be our first trip back to WDW and FL in 9 years. Looking forward to having the space of two connecting rooms for the five of us. My DH is excited about all the bathroom space considering we have 3 DDs. :rotfl2:
