Feb 2013 car rental

Just booked Enterprise Full size car - for 8 days 2/2 through 2/10 - $201, which includes all fees and taxes. Picking up and dropping off at MCO. No special code or coupons.:thumbsup2

looking for a minivan 2/15 thru 25.... everything looks high now....eeeek!

Did you try the Budget travelocity code? We have a minivan the 15th throught the 22nd for 346. I don't think that is horrible for President's Week. I'll add a coupon code when the ones for 2013 come out- open to hearing if anyone has one that will work now! I once got one for 199 base rate through Dollar for that same week.

I'm still looking periodically for Feb22 to March 4th. Still not seeing anything under 320 (midsize). We'd ideally like a standard or larger for 200 and have been able to get that the last 3 trips so I'll keep watching. I don't imagine I will see a significant drop until about 6 weeks out.

Dollar's rates have really come down just today I got a total of 267 for the 8th -18th. That includes the presidents day weekend. I just used the city special it was better than any coupons.. I'll keep checking my goal was 250.00 so I'm pretty close to happy.:cool1:

first week of February is $452 with Alamo for the cheapest option. That's just insane...

I'm not sure of your dates or type of vehicle you are looking for but through Costco with Enterprise I see a full size for $183 inc taxes from Feb 2 - 9th. A full size with Dollar is $178 (click on city special) but Dollar charges $10/day extra for the additional driver.

Just keep checking Alamo if that is what you want. I got under $200 all fee's included from MCO for January 26-February 4th [Full size] using insiders id and visa coupon. It was low one day and up beyond reasonable the next. So just keep checking.:thumbsup2

thanks for the other options!:)

After paying like $70 last year, it would be hard for me to pay like $200, looks like ME and disney busses are the way to go for me! :cool1:

We're staying at BC, so it's only a pain to go to AK or DTD, we do usually drive to those things if we have a car. :thumbsup2

emmabelle, don't give up! I really only use National, and they, so far, for our trips, have ALWAYS dropped a really amazing amount in the month before the reservation. I'm pretty sure it's the same for other companies.

I'm kind of really loyal to Alamo, I really don't like to use other companies...totally not sure why. :lmao:

I'm just thankful that there's free transportation so I don't have to pay those extortionist rates.

Well they are the same company, so keep on checking back. I have a rate booked right now for Feb and I have NO intention on actually paying that, LOL. I'm just that sure the rate will go down as we get closer. (watch I've jinxed myself)

Emmabelle what were you looking to book? I just booked on Alamo website with insider for 225 for feb 2-10 full size.

I am also a Alamo fan but for my trip that includes President's day weekend they are still 600 for 10 day trip :badpc:.. Just checked and tried all sorts of discounts including the insiders rates

it's just two of us, so we only need a compact for 2/3 to 2/10. I'm going to keep checking. :)

We fly in on the 22nd and yeah.. our 10 day trip is looking ridiculous with Alamo. It will come down. Not time to worry yet.

However I don't plan on paying more than 200 no matter what so I may switch my trip around to start at Disney and use Magical Express, and then go to Universal for the last weekend and just rent a car for that. I will only do that if the rates stay this high.

I just booked a SUV with Alamo for 2/2-2/10 for 265. Hoping it will keep coming down as it gets closer. I did insider deal plus $20 off code.

Good for you!! It's getting lower!:thumbsup2
I have mentioned before I seem to find the best price at 6 or 7 weeks out so it's time to start looking for rate drops.
Where did you get the $20 code? I haven't been able to find one that doesn't expire before I need it. Should be new codes coming out soon though:)

Yea I know I was in a full size but with four adults we decided that the extra 40 was worth it to spend to get the SUV. Code I used was for SUV Minvan or convertible ends feb 10 AD2778FNZ
