Can someone tell me if we can get multiple rooms using a military discount. or is it only good for one room?
military rate is for people in the military or have a dd214.
i need 5 rooms all my immediate family snd their kids.
two were marines and did their time. one is national guard and still is.
will the two that did their time count towards the military discount?

The Disney promotion is for active or retired military, not simply veterans. Here's a link to Disney's website with specifics on the Military room discount. There is a phone number in the info. I think your best bet is to call them and ask your specific questions.

The Marines who are no longer active do not qualify for this promotion. I know there are months when Shades of Green has promotions for veterans. You could look at their website and/or call for into.

Good luck.

I'm not sure how the military rate works at Disney resorts, but all eligible military members and their spouses can reserve up to 3 rooms each at Shades of Green. (So, for example, my Active Reserve DH and myself could reserve 3 rooms each, for a total of 6. We need to be in one).
I just booked a trip for March and found Shades of Green's rate to be much cheaper than Disney's military rate (for a moderate resort). With the spacious rooms akin to the Disney Deluxe resorts and the proximity to the monorail @ the Polynesian, we think SoG is quite a deal.

As an eligible Shades of Green guest, you may sponsor up to three rooms. In addition, a dependent spouse can also sponsor up to three rooms provided the following conditions are met...
- You are a registered guest at Shades of Green
- You agree to be responsible for your guests
- You must accompany your guest at time of check in. Sponsored guest will not be authorized to check in without the sponsor being present
- Sponsored guest reservations must check in on the same day and must depart before or on the same day as your reservation
- You accompany your guests while purchasing attraction tickets
- Your guests must follow the rules of the resort
Eligible Shades of Green guests have used this unique Sponsorship program to bring in-laws, grandparents, close family friends and relatives to share in their vacation fun. This is especially helpful if you are planning an intimate wedding or family reunion to be held at Shades of Green. Many servicemembers on leave from OIF/OEF have used this option to reunite with family members here in Orlando. Family members get to enjoy their loved ones in a low stress environment away from the pressures of daily life and maximize their time together.
* During the "Hollydays" (Christmas, New Year's) only three rooms per military sponsor are allowed.
Here's the information from Shades of Green's webpage
There is a lot of information on this thread! We are planning a trip to Disney sometime for the 2013 Christmas season. DD's husband will be active duty Air Force so not sure he will be able to come. (He reports for active duty in February) Can DD still use the military discount to book rooms at Disney and/or Shades of Green? Or does her husband have to come in order to get a military discount?
