Any guesses as to when those dates will be released?

We paid around $5K for our Thanksgiving cruise and are worried the prices will be significantly higher in 2014 looking at the prices for the summer...:sad2:

Did you get that price for 2013 Thanksgiving before or after the pricing glitch was corrected on opening day?

What glitch? Why is the $5000 assumed to be a pricing glitch? That's a good price. We didn't pay much more for our Cmas week cruise. :)

I'd like to sail over Thanksgiving one year.

I would expect them to be around the same then. I had to ask because you didn't say which category you booked or how many people. I honestly think that the prices that came out yesterday for 2014 are similar to the 2013 prices when I compared them to the opening day threads. They were crazy then and still are, but they are consistent.

There was a glitch that day and some people paid less than that for a better Category when they opened for booking.

Sorry we booked the 8C that day 2A/2C but didn't book untill 12:30 :sad1:

2014 we were looking at Thanksgiving or the week after Christmas. Thanksgiving is a great time to go because they put the decorations up, so you get a little bit of both holidays! :)

Sounds great. I like to try to leave the house for the holidays so no one is fighting over us :) haha.

Thats funny! And I am sure alot of the people on those holiday cruises feel the same way!

We are actually going on the next Thanksgiving cruise with people we met on our last one! YEAH!

There were a few cruises on opening day for 2013 that had a price glitch that made them significantly lower than what the price should have been by about 50%. Those were in March and the Thanksgiving cruise. The May cruises were the ones that had this happen for the 2014 dates yesterday, but they were fixed more quickly than the ones last year. I had to ask because while $5000 would be what I would expect for a cat 8/9 for four people it would be significantly lower than what I would expect for a cat 4 or higher. With our glitch cruise, if I told you I booked the week before Easter at a price of $3128 for 2A2K you would figure that I had gotten a good price on an inside room. That is actually for a cat 5C though, which means that there was an obvious pricing error at the time.

We are taking a holiday cruise with a family we met on the med cruise 07 ;). We've since sailed the Baltic and Alaska with them. Only logical path.... Share holidays with them ;)

As far as holidays go, I have found Thanksgiving week prices to be the best (compared to x-mas, summer break, spring break). I do remember pricing the 2013 cruise first thing in the morning when bookings opened, and the price was quite good. I took too much time and went back to book it, and it had jumped about $1,000. Was kicking myself for not grabbing it!
