Someone said something about Mulan earlier so maybe they rotate the princesses ??? I dunno. That was our first time there. We really enjoyed it !!

It wasn't that nasty precooked stuff they usually serve. I am seriously saying it was real bacon. Or it sure seemed like it was !!

Great pictures with the princesses (I don't know what it is about "the" Snow Whites....but they look scary to me.

Breakfast bacon that is good???? WOW! I think we'll skip the breakfast as I don't like scrambled eggs and it would be kind of a waste cost wise for us.

The restaurant is beautiful though.

Day 2 – Part 3

After breakfast, I got a text from Danielle who is IHeartDDuck here on the boards and since she was there at Epcot that day, we agreed to have a quick Dismeet. I was excited to meet her. We agreed to meet in front of the Land at the Soarin’ sign. So we headed that way.

DS couldn’t stay off my scooter when I wasn’t on it. I am convinced it was his favorite ride at Disney World this trip.

As were heading out of the World Showcase, DD heard Test Track running. So she and DH went over to see if they were previewing it while DS and I
went over to meet Danielle.

She looked fantastic !! And I had to stand next to her – NOT looking fantastic. Anyway, she was with her DSIL (Jeni) and we had a nice chat and a couple of giggles. They were heading off to an 11:30 AM lunch ressie at Via Napoli and they were excited about that.

Danielle always makes these super funny faces in her trip reports that I think are hilarious, so I wanted to get a photo of us making a funny face together.

Haha. Anyway, it was great meeting her and her SIL and I can’t wait to read about their Via Napoli lunch.

DD and DH came back and said they were just testing Test Track and would not be doing previews on that day. We heard it running all day and it was a serious teaser.

So we headed into the Land to ride Soarin’ which is my very favorite ride.

Since I was in my scooter and couldn’t walk but a couple of steps, we had to take the elevator down to the ride. It was pretty backed up just to get on the elevator.

When we entered the queue, the standby wait time was 100 minutes so we were very happy to have fast passes. The fast pass return time at 11 AM that morning was 7:30 PM – yikes. We rode the best ride ever and then went over so DH and the kids could ride Mission Space (green side).

I waited outside the gift shop.

I parked myself in a corner out of the way and these three guys came out of the gift shop and all layed down right in front of me.

All of them were feeling sick from the ride. My guess is that they rode the Orange side. It was kinda funny. They rested a while and got their bearings and then left.

We went over to ride Spaceship Earth and then headed back to World Showcase.

On the way, we stopped at Club Cool.

We sampled some sodas and I actually tried the Beverly. Which wasn’t really that bad. I mean, it wasn’t great, but I was able to drink it. DD loves the China one with the watermelon taste to it. We had an empty water bottle and we filled it up with China soda. I used the little cups they provided – I didn’t put our used water bottle under there. So – we were bad.

After Club Cool, we head back to the World Showcase and on the way, DD saw Duffy and decided she needed a photo with him. We were about the 5th group in line and of course right when we got to the front, Duffy had to take a break. So we had to wait some more. DH and DS went to fetch FP’s for Maelstrom while we were waiting.

While Duffy was gone.

Then he was back. I was glad we waited, because he was really sweet to her and made her laugh.

He put her hat on his nose.

Yeah, some people are just so resistant to change. If Disney changes anything, they get their panties in a wad about it. I mean, if you don't like it, then don't buy it or anything.

I have heard mixed reviews about Akershus, but DD wanted to go, so we tried it. We really liked it. They were very pretty.

She seriously makes the funniest faces ....LOL.

I don't mind the Green Side, but I get super motion sick, so I know better than to even try the Orange.

Duffy is cute. DD enjoyed meeting him.

It was really good. We would do it again. Even DS liked it and he was like "oh brother" over having breakfast with the princesses.

You'll have to do the Cinderella meal at the Grand Floridian then! It was the first character meal we ever went to, and we enjoyed it very much. Back when we went they had the Fairy Godmother and mice Suzy and Perla in addition to Cinderella and the prince. Now they have the Stepmother and stepsisters more often than not. If you haven't met them in the parks, they are a hoot! If I were a face character, I'd want to be Drusilla or Anastasia (you know, since I'm not tall enough to be Maleficent).

Yes, it was awesome meeting her !!

The hat has some other starring roles as we go along. I never noticed how often it played a part until you pointed it out.

We saw the Step sisters on the carousel in MK that Sunday. DD ran to see if she could get on with them, but she just missed them. We might check out the GF breakfast someday. DH seems to like the big breakfasts. I know he would love the Ohana one.

Day 2 – Part 4

Then we headed over to Mexico and DD wanted to ride the boat ride.

So we did that and headed back to Norway where DH and the kids rode Maelstrom while I waited.

This ride was a pretty big step down into the boat and I wasn’t sure I could manage it, so I just waited. It was about 1:30 PM at this time and it was getting crazy crowded. Next we checked out China.

DD loves to play with the puppets

It was getting close to our ADR for Garden Grill – our Thanksgiving dinner – so we headed back towards the Land. We had a little time, so we rode Nemo

Then we headed back over to Garden Grill. Our ressie was for 3:15 PM and it looked like they were just opening for dinner.

We love this place. The whole restaurant rotates (very slowly) and it is really neat. We were given an outside booth so we were right on the railing and could see everything really well. We had a great waiter and he brought us some bread and salad right away.

Both were very good.

We asked the waiter to bring us some of the kids selections and he did.

Children's Entree Platter
Oven Roasted Chicken Drumstick
Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Broccoli
Crispy Sweet Potato Sticks

The kids ate the macaroni and chicken and were brought more. I had some of the sweet potato fries and everyone ignored the broccoli – even though it looked good. To me at least.

For the adults there was this.

Char-grilled Filet of Beef with Red Wine Butter

So a breakdown of this.

Turkey, potatoes and stuffing – yum. Beef tenderloin cooked a perfect medium and veggies – yum. I liked this best. And then the Mahi-mahi. It was good, but not a s good as the other things. We REALLY enjoyed this meal - DH especially. What made it the most special for us was this was Thanksgiving Day and it was close to a Thanksgiving feast. And the best part ?? We didn’t have to cook …. Or clean up the dishes.

(Garden Grill Dinner continued)

Then Pluto – DD’s favorite !!

She was telling him to sit, shake, etc. and he was going through the paces like a champ.

Then Dale came !!

Then dessert came.

We had pumpkin tarts - These were special for Thanksgiving.

These were VERY good.

The kids were brought these pound cakes in a paper cone with chocolate mousse on top. They both loved these !!

And then they brought out this cake

This had berries inside, I think. I only had a bite or two since I was stuffed. The menu online says rhubarb crisp, but it definitely wasn’t that. It was good though.

We almost did that in September, but this time we totally went for it. No one saw ........

We love the watermelon soda, too !! Be careful though, when we opened the bottle later there was a decent build up of pressure and it made a huge popping sound. So ease the bottle open.
