It was a bit out of the way, I can see how it was easily missed!
I hope my Disney obsession passes on to my kids! I think I have 1 hooked for sure, and the teenage boys are on the brink. They were pretty impressed, but didn't get to go when they were little, so I may have not hooked them early enough!
We have funny posting mojo this morning! Sorry I posted right in the middle of your update, I didn't know you were updating when I posted!!!
OMG, that scene in Living with the Land with the house! I will always laugh now. When we were on it in January, we rounded the corner (or entered the room, I forget how it is) and at the EXACT same time, Dylan (my 18 year old) and I both said in voices dripping in sarcasm "Oh look, it's HOME". I burst out laughing, it was so funny that we both thought the same thing. We live in a rural area and don't really LOVE a lot of the rural aspects, so it was just funny. Sorry...rambling on your TR on top of posting right in the middle of an update!
Whew! I thought at first you were going for a Mickey gnome but the flamingo is totally something I would sport on my front lawn! Glad to see blueberry boy made an appearance. You may need to consider paying him some royalties for use of his image since he's now become so popular!!
I love Morocco (except for the incense smell in the shops) and we finally went into that Morocco Style building to look around. I like the henna tattoo history where the married women do no work until the henna disappears!!
Love the update!!
Yippee! You're finally at Epcot!
Nice to meet the parents! You definitely look like their daughter!
The food looks delicious!
You must use two picture hosting sites because I can see some of your pictures.
I just saw a picture of that pink flamingo somewhere and it is SO cute. How could Wingnut put the nix on that. Of course it would be the perfect accompaniment to Planty. I couldn't agree more.
So you REALLY wanted to jump in the cranberry bog? That's all I can say -
I'll stop back later to see more pics.
Oh yeah - the diver in the tube - crazy. I have not see that before.
Yay, I made page 11!!! Sorry I missed the start of this.
Blueberry boy is the cutest! Sure, there is corn father and son, but blueberry boy just owns Living with the Land. It cannot be denied.
Hahaha, I would love to see someone doing the I Love Lucy grape (cranberry) stomping! TOO funny.
My daughter Lauren has a venus fly-trap named "Chompy".....they should have a play-date.
It's great to "meet" your parents! (TR-wise, of course)
I think Planty would have loved the flamingo with Mickey ears as a roommate! Hmmm what would you have named him?
Caught up again! It's too bad you don't have a lawn - those flamingoes are so funny! I'd love a palm tree at my house too, but there is no way it would survive here lol That diver giving a demonstration is pretty cool, I've never seen that either! And I can just picture the cranberry bog scene, makes me giggle

Living with the Land never gets old for me.. And bluebery boy is the cutest up there- hands down!!
When we were there I had the same thought "I really want to get in there and smash em up like Lucy!" hahahah
I miss Epcot!
I'm just joining in! I discovered your previous trip report when I was searching for people who had traveled to WDW in January in preparation for my upcoming trip. I was hooked after reading your first few posts because your sense of humor is so in line with mine! It was like reading a transcript of one of my own internal monologues!
Can't wait to have some time to catch up on this TR and follow along with the rest of your trip!
I have a confession...I've never noticed Blueberry Boy! I'll have to look for him the next time I ride Living with the Land...for some reason, I feel like I shut my mind off by the end of that ride and am lost in my own thoughts or something!
Haha, we have that flamingo in our yard! I love it, but it got really dull really fast!
I would love to stomp around that cranberry bog for a while. I feel so bad for those guys who have to stand in that all day and answer people's stupid questions about cranberries when all they probably want is some shade and a beer!
(Ok, maybe they love standing out in the heat and talking about cranberries, I just know that after 10 minutes of doing that, I'd be done!)
I love Morocco, it might be my favorite pavilion!
Oh my - Wingnut really got the swiss cheese effect on Spaceship Earth, didn't he?
I just want you to know...I am lurking in this thread. Still totally happy for you both, and bummed that we didn't magically run into each other during F&W. Gonna go catch up w/your recent posts now.
We wanted to get our special Disney VISA cardmember perk of free drinks , but we just never got over that way.
But the walls are very cool, so it's still a good picture. The tilework and detail are fascinating, I think.
I'm going to guess that EPCOT is your favorite park.
I LOVE the F&W festival, DM and I went last year and YUM! We loved it so much that we cancelled some ADRs to go back and sample more food. When asked why we were cancelling I replied "Because we are headed to EPCOT!" The CM said she totally understood.
When I rode Living with the Land last week, I thought "There's someone on the DIS who loves the Blueberry boy". I couldn't remember who it was but now I know!
Would you believe the line for it was 40 minutes? It stretched all the way back almost to the entrance to Soarin'. We rode Soarin' using fastpasses and by the time we were done, the line had gone down to 20 minutes. I think we waited about 15 to get on. First time I think I've ever waited in line for Living with the Land!
Your parents look lovely... that is kind of funny that you ran into them in Epcot... ... hmmm is this Epcot love genetic?
Yummy Food & Wine pics...
Hey...my boys just surprised me with an owl in Japan... I LOVE owls... hmmm. mine is white... I have to see is I can find the sheet to see what white symbolizes... (I hope its something good...)
Morocco really is quite a beautiful pavilion... but I'm just particularly fond of the whole France-Morocco-Japan stretch...
I am joining along!
I love POFQ, one of my fav resorts!
Love all your Epcot photos, especially the watermelon patch..lol
Oh Epcot! I love that park!
That flamingo in Mickey ears is just too cute.
Wow, I've seen some bad Swiss cheese pictures on SE but Wingnuts is really bad! Note to self, don't look down.
I'm with you, I totally want the mickey flamingo! Maybe when we move back into a place with a yard, I'll convince DH that we NEED it, lol!
Oh my gosh, poor wingnut, he looks like his future has seen better days, I sincerely hope his future is less swiss-cheesey!
Ahh, that flamingo! It's awesome! I'm actually getting my mother that for Christmas, because she loves those tacky plastic yard flamingos. I don't think a yard should be a requirement for purchasing one. Like you said, it could've kept Planty company.
Who doesn't get a kick out of Blueberry Boy on LwtL??
Sounds like you two were having an enjoyable time at Epcot, hope it transfers over into your ADR...
Wingnut! You should have let Stringbean buy the Mickey ear wearing flamingo. Who said you must have a lawn to have a lawn ornament? I actually bought one of the flamingos for John because he thought it was the cutest thing. He's out in our yard right now...protecting my marigolds.
You know I share your EPCOT love. I have to say that I wanted to walk right into the cranberry bog, too! Dunno why. I sampled the spinach pocket from South Africa and it was super yummy! I loved Food and Wine, I felt like it was World Showcase on steroids. And never fear...Blueberry Boy gets plenty of love from me. I ride Living with the Land everytime, although for us its usually after Soarin'.
Hey, if I could live in Disney World, I'd totally be okay with restaurant patrons looking in on me while I'm at home.
You are so right, Blueberry Boy is the one I always remember too!
You absolutely do not need a lawn to buy a flamingo lawn ornament with Mickey ears. Because it's AMAZING!
We are so on the same wavelength with the cranberry bog! I think of I Love Lucy every time!!!! There is a winery close to where we live that does a wine stomping festival every year. I'm not going to lie, I'm so tempted. So so tempted.
