Aug 12-19.2013 Mickey's Mouseketeers -Alaska Cruise

Anyone trying to lose weight for the cruise, I am in a weight loss program so far I am down 13 lbs. many more to go. but its a start.

I have lost about 25lbs but have been stalled the last 2 months. Am trying to get things going again this week.

I bought our plane tickets this morning. Got a great deal- I think. $415 round trip, direct flights Boston to Seattle. Also made reservations for the Sat and Sun before the cruise at Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. Things are coming together.

My husband and I will be on this cruise. It'll be our second Disney Cruise. We were on the November 4 WDW Radio Bahamas cruise. Lots of fun! We can't wait to go on this one, and hope there are some other seniors on board. Last cruise we were with our three kids and our grandchildren . This time we're "solo," so we hope we'll meet some others our age.

My parents have decided to join us as well! Jane and Don - it will be their 47th wedding anniversary!

:cool1:

Our 47th will be in 2013 (November), too. I hope we get to meet your parents :) -- We felt kind of funny booking a Disney cruise with no kids involved, but we had such a great time on the Bahamas cruise that we didn't see the point in switching to another line.

We love Disney entertainment, and we were more than pleased with the accommodations, the food and the service on board. Looking forward to booking some shore excursions. too. My husband thinks that ziplining will be right up my alley..... I think NOT, but who knows?

Anybody else booked on Deck #6?

Yep We are on deck 6, #6088

Ed and I are in 6132. Our last cruise was with our children and our grandchildren. This one will be much different... cruising with nobody we know. We're signed up for main dining, but with all the extra daylight, we might switch to the second seating.

Coming from Maine, we probably have most of the clothes we'll need. We're very used to dressing in layers. We just have to spend some time choosing shore excursions.

We're very much looking forward to this cruise!

Karen

After a bout of teeth gnashing and hand wringing, I've finally settled in on this cruise. The way I look at it, I've already "saved" $200, as my room is now listed as $200 more than it was when I booked. It's a little disconcerting to see the prices fluctuating as the cruises and/or stateroom categories fill up. I guess it's best just to stick with what we originally decided on and not second guess ourselves.

I can't believe I'm the only person who's going through the emotional swings and stress of trip planning. We aren't rich, and if we make a mistake when spending $5,000+ it's going to really hurt! That's the main reason we stuck with DCL rather than "jumping ship" and booking with Celebrity or Princess, even though we could've saved money with either of them, and gotten upgraded rooms to boot. We know what we're getting with DCL, and it's top-notch. Time to stop second guessing and just look forward to a WONDERful vacation!:yay:

We just booked this cruise. We had to change from the Mediterranean with Greece cruise, couldn't get the time off. But we're very happy to be sailing on another fantastic itinerary with DCL. We are Brian (41) Marsha (43) DS Duffy (3) and DD Shellie May (2), yes the kids are actually bears!
