Hello, ladies! OMG, it's Tuesday! My mom and stepdad are finally arriving today. They've been in Laughlin.....I think enjoying being carefree. lol I have still not begun to pack. I did drag the suitcases out though. That's a start. I'm not sure why I am so...um, unproductive. Usually before a trip I am packed a week ahead of time!
I think part of it is still being sick, I tire easily. Part of it is not wanting to think about the plane trip, lol. And, I don't know, maybe I'm worried I won't enjoy myself. I've wanted to see the PNW since 1999! What if I hate it? lol

Oh well, I'm just babbling. I should be packing!! TTYL!

Oh, my, ladies. It has been a crazy busy couple of weeks, just nuts, and I haven't been back here nearly enough. After some back and forth (literally), my oldest is now living with me again. With that and the new job and trying to get the new apartment in order... I'm tired. I'm also DEFINITELY going on the trip.

You have been busy!! But, yay for going on the trip for sure!! Whooo! I got you signed up for meals.

day 4 If we go to Newport what time are we going? Will it be for Lunch? Have we decided on a restaurant for that?
Other wise add me to the Cafe Orleans for now.

I'm thinking if we go, it will be morning until late afternoon. Some of the ladies will probably want to be back in time for the evening events. So, yes, lunch. I signed you up for Cafe Orleans, just in case.
I need to get in touch with some of the local ladies who initially expressed interest and see if they are still wanting to go. I won't have a car, so we need someone who wants to go and who can drive.

What time is the Storytellers dinner planned?

No time yet. Soon. Even then, it will only be tentative until we actually call and see when all these places can accommodate us. We usually have to work with them.

LOL! I needs to get me name on some of the meal plans.

There is no way you will hate it! You like cool rainy weather right? Nobody hates it until they have lived here for several months and the vitamin D deficiency sets in. Then you start to hate it and then you realize that you really do love it as soon as it stops raining for a few days.

I am going to need to room with someone as well, just Wednesday and Thursday nights. We usually get a list going of roommates needed on the front page of the thread; maybe after Beth gets back we can get something going or start a post on FB. There are always people offering to take another roommate last minute so I haven't been too worried (yet).

Anyways, I need to figure out what I am doing about hotels. I still don't have any official roommates, and I think the Disney Hotels are probably out of my price range now, unless I can get 2 or 3 other people to join me. I will need that no matter what hotel I stay at. I need to book my transportation from the airport to the hotel, so I also need to know what hotel for that. Does anybody have any room for me, or want to share with me in the HoJo room I have booked or slurge a little on a Disney Hotel? I think Ruth wanted to a while back, but not sure if she is still in or not.

Hello! I try to check in here once or twice a week but I think it's been much longer...

My mom signed me up for the meals we are doing and I'm not doing the hunt this year (don't want to sign up if I can't get Friday off again).

DBF and I went to DL on Sunday. It was great to see the Christmas decorations and it was raining so it wasn't to crowded.

I have had Cafe Orleans. We tried the Pomme Frittes, and neither of us really liked them all that much. The beignets were really good though. I really want to try Carnation Cafe this time though. The chicken fried chicken sounds so good!

Hi ladies,
I am so tired! It feels like midnight already. My mom and dad arrived today and it's been fun catching up, but they wore me out. lol I finally started packing tonight. I'll finish up tomorrow.

I'm not multi-quoting but I did read everyone's post. Karisa, I think I got you down where you wanted to be. As for CO or CC, I like them both, but CC has a new menu that is really good. That would be my pick.

Hello, ladies!!

Guess what?? I'm leaving tomorrow morning!! I can't believe it's almost time. We are basically all packed, checked in and ready. I hope I can hold it together saying good bye to the kids tomorrow. I already miss them and I haven't even left. I know I've gone on these DIS Diva trips for the past couple years, but for some reason this is harder. I guess before when I'd leave I knew they were still home with their dad, but now, we are both going away. It just makes me nervous....and sad. Stupid, I know.

Anyway, sorry for babbling! While I am away, I won't have internet access, so you won't have to put up with my posts until after we get back, on the 13th. If you have a sign-up request, go ahead and post it. I will be reading back and updating everything when I get home. In fact, if you haven't signed up for meals yet, don't wait too long! It will be time to make reservations before we know it.

Alrighty, I guess that's it. Talk to y'all when we get home.

The fares and the points finally aligned and I just bought my airfare for the Diva trip! $5. Gotta love it! I get into SNA Wednesday around noon and I'm on a 6:40-ish PM flight out on Sunday.
