Be our Guest kids menu question

So my kids are VERY picky. Was going to try to make a reservation for BOG for my daughter's birthday in June. I looked at the menu to see if it would work or not but I don't see any chicken nuggets or pasta on the kids section. Does anyone know if they have any nuggets available before I waste my time trying to get a reservation. TIA

No, they don't have nuggets. I also have not heard if they will cook some plain pasta, but if they do it is likely to be the multigrain pasta they provide with the regular kids meal.

You can do what I did....make an ADR and just go for dessert. Hopefully that will work, we are going in Feb.

We went to BOG for lunch the week of Thanksgiving. I wasn't too impressed with the luch kids' menu. They were all items I would like to eat, but not so much my two year old DD. I got French Onion soup and the ham and cheese and share the ham and cheese with her.

First - the 11 year old is counted as an adult at Disney. Perhaps the cornish hen (very similar to chicken). Otherwise I would give her a choice of eating something on the menu or picking another restaurants.

To the OP who made a reservation just for dessert - you know the only desserts are cream puffs and cupcakes right? Would you really feel right about holding up a table just for cupcakes? The same desserts are available at lunch, without a reservation.

BOG currently only serves what is on the menu. If your kids won't eat what's on the menu, then feed them lunch somewhere else (there are all kinds of places to get junk food in the MK) and bring them into BOG just for dessert.

4) Then, they build a menu with fancier food.
5) Now, folks complain about no common foods.
6) One should chose a restaurant for the food they want to eat.
7) If nothing there they like, then it should be avoided.

We ate lunch at BOG yesterday, it is amazing! I have a very picky 6 year old DD. She really liked the multigrain pasta with marina sauce. We had 2 other kids with us that had the turkey sandwich, a 6 and 4 year old, and neither of them complained.

BOG, in our opinion, is the best CS in all of Disney. The place and theming are incredible right down to the way they bring your food to your table for the CS. We all really enjoyed the food and the experience.

Don't let the lunch line scare you. Ask a CM how long it really is. Looking at it, I would have sworn it would be an hour, but it was only about 15-20 minutes, and there was absolutely no problem finding a table for a large party inside.

We had dinner there on November 26. Our 7 year old had the multi grain pasta and ordered it with the sauce and cheese on the side. The cheese was shredded mozzarella in a dish on the side, and the sauce came in a dish on the side too. It also came with a couple pieces of steamed broccoli. My daughter loved it and cleaned her plate( minus the sauce). Hope this helps.
Just and FYI, we went for lunch too a couple days later. Got in line around 1pm and waited about 20 minutes. Had the steak sandwiches, and they were very dry. Salmon and ratatouille for dinner were fabulous.

I agree completely!!!!
There are many, many restaurants with the usual kids stuff. If your child doesn't like the choices, than this is not the place for you

Thanks for all the responses. I didn't see the pasta on the dinner menu. I was in a hurry when I looked. That would totally work for my 2 picky eaters. My youngest will eat anything. I was just trying to find a new cool place to celebrate my DD's bday. We did a big cake for my middle sons bday last year so we are trying to do something new and cool for her too. I can't wait to check it out. Now hoping I can get a reservation on her actual bday.

Glad it worked out. If your kids dont like sauce on the pasta, ask for it on the side or get them to sub with butter instead. They will accomodate you if you ask.

So true!! For so long ppl complained about not having healthier choices for their kids. Now that they finally have it, theres complaints that there arent enough "regular" choices like nuggets. Disney just cant win!

Yup, exactly. You should choose a restaurant that appeals to everyone in your family. If your kid will eat nothing but hotdogs, pick a place that serves hotdogs. Easy peasy!

Well, it's not really easy peasy if you have one member of your family that will only eat turkey sandwiches or plain pasta (not multigrain). Sometimes those of us with picky eaters would like to go somewhere that the rest of the family enjoys too (not always "just go eat hot dogs somewhere else...") I think anyone with a picky eater has to make those choices every single day (make all the regular eaters happy OR the picky ones), and probably gets pretty tired of the hassle. And when they dare to wish out loud for places where they could do both, they get ripped. Sheesh.

Right now, as far as BOG is concerned, they can't do both. Kids who only eat chicken nuggets or hot dogs or non-multigrain pasta are not going to get them at BOG.

It's coming up because BOG is new and different and people want to experience it, but they don't want to have to go two places to feed everybody. But that's what Disney's business model is right now apparently. They have BOG and Art of Animation, the two newest restaurants, currently as chicken nugget free zones.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but just to let people know, the pasta tasted just like regular pasta, it was delicious ( I always sneak food from my kid)!

Our young ladies ordered the steak, medium but they do not eat veggies other than corn, so one of the mom's asked if they would substitute a side of the pasta w/out sauce instead of the "seasonal vegetables" and they did!

The girls loved the pasta but that's probably because we made no reference to the words "whole grain", we just called it pasta. They ate it with gusto and their steak was perfectly cooked.

A lovely restaurant, beautiful decor, good food, all in all a great evening!

We were there for dinner 11/19.

My son got the grilled chicken breast and they subbed in fries instead of the pasta and veggies, he was very happy with the end result, which looked about as bland as a picky eater could hope for.
