Ok so I know all about the regular sites, parksleepfly.com, trinity, buyreservations, and so on. We have stayed at the days hotel accross from the airport and we have stayed at the Marriott in Amhearst, 3 times. My problem is, a) We will travel 7.5 to 8 hours to get to Buffalo the day before our flight, b) our flight leaves at 8:10 am, so we will be there long enough to sleep and that is it. If it had a pool, my kids would use it, if we got in at a decent time the night before, but not necessary. c) we are taking my niece with us this year, so now need room for 5, (she is 21) Any suggestions, on something that is a decent price for something that is clean, and would fit 5 people. Or am I going to have to do 2 rooms someplace? Are people still getting the Marriott in Amhearst on Priceline at all? Any suggestions plug away!

Edited: So far have booked the Sleep Inn Buffalo Airport with 2 dbl beds and fold out couch for $180.86 including 2 weeks parking!

Try calling some of the hotels. We booked a room at the Best Western that online said only had an occupancy of 4, but when I called the directly to explain that of the 6 of us, three were children with one sleeping in a pack n play and they said we were okay in the room with the two double beds. The worst anyone can say is no and then you are no better off than you are now.

I was going to say the Sleep Inn next to the airport. That's where I send most of my clients and I haven't had a bad review yet.

We stayed at the Days Inn this past summer with 5. I took along an air mattress and a sleeping bag. The Days Inn used to advertise 5 per room but they don't have the bedding for any more than 4 so if bringing your own is an option it was cheaper than Sleep Inn. (My boys are 20,17 and 15). It was only 1 night and just to sleep. Check it out. I think you will have to call them directly as most of the sites will only allow you to book for 4 people.

We have stayed at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara with a family of 5 in the past. We got a cot or rollaway bed which they normally charge $10 for but they actually forgot to charge us since I booked the room through Priceline and left the vehicle for free and took shuttle to the airport. The Marriott is the only 3.5* hotel in 8 out of 9 zones when bidding under Buffalo. DO NOT select ZONE 4 for DOWNTOWN BUFFALO since there is a 3.5* hotel in that zone. So you can bid 8 times within 24hrs by adding another zone for each incremental bid. I see winning bids in the $70 range lately. I have gotten it for $60 in the past just a few days before our actual stay.

Thanks guys!! I did contact the manager of the staybridge suites buffalo airport, and asked him about the trinityreservations option, and he said it is eithier 2 dbls or 1 queen, but he said for the date I was looking for he thought we would be ok to upgrade it. I think I might take my chance with that. It is only $98 including tax, and the kids could swim and unwind after a long drive. Just hope it works out. Worst that will happen is I will need a cot, and we will be crowded!

We like the Clarion Buffalo Airport. I recently had to use the Sleep Inn because the Clarion was full. The accomodations were fine, but you had to follow the shuttle to the parking lot across the road to park the car and take the shuttle back to the hotel. It wasn't too convenient.

Have stayed at Sleep Inn numberous times before flights. Perfect for somewhere to put your head down for the night and it is usually one of the cheapest places near the airport. We have seen alot of the SW flight crew stay there we have gone over in the morning with them when we have had super early flights.

We book Stabridge suites every year through Trinity Reservations. We always get a 1 bedroom suite with 2 doubles and a pullout couch. Works perfect for our family of 5. Free breakfast, and free parking for 2 weeks makes it a total bargain for us.

That is exactly why I booked this! It is a really good deal. I just hope we get the 1 bdrm suite for our family of 5!

The Staybridge is a great hotel. We have stayed there several times. One thing to keep in mind is that the shuttle to the airport can only be booked on the hour or half hour. If you're going at a busy time, you might want to call ahead to book. I didn't realize that was possible and when we got to the airport or desired time was already booked. We ended up going a half hour later, which DH loved, but I was nervous we were cutting it too close. All worked out great (DH was right!) but it's something to keep in mind.

The shuttle comes on demand on the return trip. Good thing given that we arrive really late, and I definitely won't want to wait then!

We reserved through Buy Reservations. Got a studio suite. DS asked about an upgrade, but we were told they weren't available. We've used Trinity twice - once we got a studio and once a one bedroom. I think it really does depend on what's available.

Does anyone know if this info still holds true? I'm looking to book 2 nights for this weekend as a little get away for March break. I would love to get into the Marriott. I just looked on Priceline and see the Marriott and Doubletree both as 3.5*...either would be fine for me.
