Who is having the Soda Stream House Party next weekend? I am so excited! I have wanted a Soda Stream since they came out. I should be getting mine tomorrow:cheer2:

Congrats! You will love it. Gave one to DD on Friday for her 11th birthday. We love it!. No more buying bottled/canned soda for us.

I have looked at these for awhile but am leary of buying something if it doesn't taste exactly like Coke or Pepsi. Can you report back to how it tastes? If it's exactly like Coke or Pepsi I may have to buy one.

I will let you know. I really am not a big soda drinker (maybe one diet a day) but I was excited to see their diet options, Crystal Lite, and Lemonade options.

I may also have some free rebates left over. I will PM you if I do.

I am very excited! We spend a lot on beverages in this house. I am gonna put that money towards Disney!

I really want one but I hate to sink that kind of money into something without tying it first! I wish they did in-store demos somewhere!

A few weeks ago they were doing demos of the Soda Stream at Costco. I know it's hit or miss there, but demos do exist!

Free rebates? I've been looking into one but was leery of spending the money. But I'm very interested if someone has a rebate available!!! Oh please!!!

How does this work? We've been looking at too, but wondering about taste, time, etc. How does a party work?

What is the cost involved, and how much are the refills? Is it really cheaper than buying soda?

Love my soda stream and have been using it for almost a year (still on the same gas canister!). I don't drink the cola flavors (I gave up my diet coke addiction a couple of years ago and don't want to go back!) but I got a variety pack of samples of the different flavors so I could try them out prior to buying a whole bottle. I love the Diet Pink Grapefruit, the Country Time Lemonade, the ginger ale and the orange.

The Sodastream works by injecting CO2 into a bottle of cold water. Then you put whatever flavoring you want into it. My bf just drinks the carbonated water sometimes without any flavoring at all. The SS flavorings all have Splenda as their sweetener except the Naturals line that is flavored with real cane sugar.

You can exchange the canisters at Bed Bath and Beyond and use your 20% coupon. Don't wash the bottles in the dishwasher! I just rinse mine out with some hot soapy water and have an Oxi bottle brush if I need to scrub it out.

We have tried some of the samples that came with the machine and bought the cola. The cola bottle is suppose to make 50 8oz glasses. Not sure what the sale price would be - I paid something like $6 using Kohl's cash.

Since we just opened the machine, I can't say how the the CO2 canister will last, I bought an extra one to have on hand for $30 at Target. I just know that we will run out when DD has friends over and they want to have soda.
We'll keep them refilled. I did find a store that refills before buying the machine.

How it compares to Coke/Pepsi, I really can't say, since we are not brand loyal here. Most time we buy Giant brand.

Soda is not consumed on very often here, so the small bottles (1 ltr?) is the perfect size for us (family of 3) for pizza night. 2L bottles here go flat.

How lucky are you?! A Soda Stream house party! I have wanted a Soda Stream for a long time but they are just so expensive. I would use it so often, I really should buy one.

My brother-in-law has one and I have tried the Dr. Pepper equivalent and thought it tasted just like Dr. Pepper. I would be hesitant to try the cola flavors, since off-brand colas never taste like Coke or Pepsi. I bet all of the other varieties are great, though. I didn't know they made a ginger ale one...I would love that! And carbonated lemonade? Yum!

How did you go about doing a house party? That is so neat that you get rebate coupons for trying the machine. I wish I would have known! But so happy for you, it sounds like a lot of fun! If you do have any rebates left over, I would love to have one or compensate you for it if that might be an option.

I drink a lot of seltzer water mixed with a hint of 100% juice. I also love making italian sodas. :) The Naturals line sounds intriguing.

Enjoy your super awesome house party!! :yay::woohoo:

I found out about the Houseparty site through the DIS. They had a Disney Cruiseline party. I didn't get that one but have had parties for things such as Zatarains, Just Dance (video game), Toy Story Rush, a few others and now the Soda Stream. I applied twice for this party. The first one I didn't get but I did get selected in the second round. You fill out an application for each party you are interested in. They send you a box with goodies to help you with your party. In this case it's a Soda Stream system with a sample pack of all the flavors.

I have seen the refills for the flavors as low as $5.00 at JCP. They make about 12 liter bottles for each flavor which is equal to 33 cans. JCP and Best Buy are where I have seen the machine for around $80.00 on sale. We spend about $10-15/week on soda, juice, water. I am curious to see how much we save. I prefer Coke but am not brand loyal which I think will help me when trying the diet soda.

We love ours. I bought a recipe book for different syrups. So we make our own. I know you could buy real coke syrup at SAMs club at one time. We never drank cola, so can't help you there. But I make the best cream soda. Also some of the best fruit sodas.

How do you sign up for the parties? I would be really interested in the rebates as well.

For those that have a Soda stream, I am wondering about the cost. We only drink Club Soda, so no favors needed, but I thought :confused3 it still worked out to about $1.00 per 2 ltr bottle because of the canisters.

I bought my soda-lovin' fiance a Soda Stream last year for Christmas. He was so excited, but the only one he likes is the root beer. I don't think he has made any since February, though, so he must not like it that much. I like some of the flavors, but nothing tastes exactly like any of the brand name sodas, IMHO, and some of them are pretty gross to me. His parents were thinking about buying one so I think we're passing on our Soda Stream to them.

Wow, I've only managed to get one house party ever and it was no where near as cool as yours! I always forget to go to that site and apply!
I have been looking at these machines for over a year now and just have not been able to justify the cost.
If you do have any rebates left over I would would LOVE one!

I was just telling my husband that I wanted to try one of these. Would love to be able to take advantage of a rebate if anyone has any. Thanks!!
